Larry Merchant is such a vicious racist that he once couldn't contain his disgust so much that he hurled the most awful obscenity I've ever heard at Derrick Jefferson:

"Derrick Jefferson, I LOVE YOU"

Not content with that, he was so offended at the sight of a white man losing(Mayorga fight) he again hurled his racist thoughts at Shane Mosley:

I was so offended by this overt racism, I wrote to HBO demanding that Merchant be terminated, which would free him up for all his clan meetings.

If you think Merchant saying "cong**** on the win Bernard" overrule's Merchant making multiple excuses for Pavlik's loss against Hopkins, than I don't know what to tell you and you won't get our point. Pavlik was praised for his win against Taylor and for sending Taylor to the hospital. Only for Merchant to make excuses all through Pavlik's loss to Hopkins.
