The punch was classless plain and simple we the paying customers have a right to voice our opinion about the fight ending early due to a cheap shot.

Would I do the same if I was in the ring? Honestly quite possibly but I’m not someone widely regarded as the best boxer in the sport earning millions per fight. I think it left a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.

lol absolutely terrible thread. There are a ton of world champions complaining about it saying it was cheap and not good for the sport. It was legal but a suckerpunch/cheap.

That's the way I see it. If you're in the square circle, protect yourself at all times it's as simple as that.

I ****ing makes me laugh when I hear these *****'s saying that any fighter would do the same and that if you think otherwise. I watched the fight with two pro's and a couple of decent amateurs and we all agreed that it was cheap.

To temper that though, WTF was Ortiz doing with this hugging ****? Too much hugging and glove tapping has crept into the sport. Personally, I dont like it one bit.

the funny thing is that if ortiz pulled that stunt i guaranty you that ortiz would have been disqualified for unsporting behaviour. But you know when cortez is reffing a floyd fight their will only be one outcome.

That's why even as a Floyd fan i don't feel good about this outcome. he would have stopped him anyways with no controversy at all.

yup.. honestly both guys were desperate to get the W, ortiz was not winning the fight and the way the fight was going floyd would have evenually stop ortiz or get the UD. But like i said both guys were desperate and took whatever opportunity that came their way. but a win is a win.
