ortiz had a choice of 6 refs, it came down to cortez and some guy burke. Maybe they just went with the latino?

I have no idea, but in choosing cortez they signed their own death warrant for this fight.

the residing athletic commission does the choosing, all may and ortiz can do is express things they may not like about a certain referee, and then and only then the residing athletic commission will consider and "make a ****in choice"

The Athletic state commission picks the ref you dim wit. Both may and Ortiz gets a list of refs and they can voice their concerns and then the athletic state commission makes the final call. Even Ortiz's manager backed this up. But yeah you're right Mayweather controls the Athletic State Commission too.
