Would Mayweather have stopped Ortiz if he had not cheap shotted him?

Without a doubt he would of stopped him in the next few rounds. In round 3 he broke Vics spirit and made him back up, while he landed hard shots at will. Vic put together a crazy rally of punches in the 4th but it wouldn't of lasted very long and he would of been really gassed by the 6th or 7th. Floyd would of stopped him by the 10th I think.

I think so between rounds 7-11, he was wearing Ortiz down and Ortiz got more and more frustrated hence why he started headbutting him and stuff, had it gone further I think Ortiz would of got more and more annoyed about not being able to land anything meaningful and would of just got caught more often, remember as rounds go on Mayweather just adjusts more and more and gets better.

It was sort of a disapointing ending because it could of ended a lot better for Mayweather but it was legal, he didn't infringe the rules. Ortiz shouldn't of headbutted him so much, they complained before that Mayweather is dirty with elbows but in the end Ortiz was using his head and elbows more.

I'd like to imagine he would've only because he was so precise with that right hand, but frankly I didn't think he hurt Victor when they were actually fighting....I may be wrong, I know there was one sequence where Victor looked to tie up after Floyd unloaded a few punches (i think it was the 3rd), but I've seen Victor get dropped and staggered from straight rights...and early in fights, I didn't see that last night....And I don't pay much attention to the swollen eye, that comes with the sport, doesn't mean he wouldn't have finished the fight, just look at Morales vs Maidana....I mean that was swollen shut from round 2 or something...in any case, not to compare it to an entirely different fight, I just don't wanna make assumptions based on that.

I'm quite disappointed...at the end of the night, I felt like someone reached in my pocket (he must've been a form of Mayweather/Cortez/Ortiz) and began to slap me with dirty slut and ******* infested money...what the **** happened? I actually enjoyed the night, after the first two rounds, I thought to myself, Floyd got this, but this is gonna be a damn good fight....mutha****a...smh. Those 3 left a bitter taste in my mouth, I mean after that entire chaotic sequence, I just hated boxing for like the next hour. This does not help the sport...for a fight that shouldn't have ended like that to have ended in that manner, boxing went down a few notches in a lot of peoples books, people don't pay hard earned money to see fights end like that.

I personally think Floyd was going to stop him eventually. There was no need for what he did. His legacy isn't going to be enhanced following this fight, it's always going to be remembered for Floyd taking the easy way out.
