I don't want to see the Ortiz rematch.

What's the point? He just dominated him and easily beat him.

Plus, I think Floyd knows that it won't really sell the second time round. And the 24/7 would be boring.

I'd even prefer Berto than Ortiz rematch.

No disrespect, man, but you have no idea if that fight will happen next May, let alone, ever.

I doubt it happens until they are each old and need the money...but long after their prime and probably long after Arum has passed on or retired.

      Why? In no particular order:

      1. Manny is on something and doesn't want to be tested and at the same time, Arum and Roach doubt his ability without PED's.

      2. Mayweather doesn't trust Manny without testing and fears him without the testing.

      3. The money split. Floyd wants the lion's share and Manny is buried in a bad deal with Arum and will never come close to getting the same type of money Floyd gets.

      4. Top Rank and Golden Boy and their issues. These promoters are used to putting forth a sacrificial lamb and in the case of Manny and Floyd there isn't one.

      5. Fear of losing. Whoever loses that fight will lose all of their luster and marketing ability, and in Manny's case, his political clout in the P.I. Even without fighting, both of them are guaranteed riches, power, and fame.

The fight is as far away from happening as it's ever been, imo. When Floyd came out and said Manny was next, he was full of ****. Something has happened in the recent weeks. Either both camps have agreed to postpone the fight to continue to milk their careers or they couldn't make any progress..AGAIN.

Mayweather will fight Khan or step up and fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito at 154, imo.

I never thought about it like that. A rematch would be ok with me but I'm not sure how it would sell. I think a lot of people may be put off considering Floyd was dominating Ortiz before the ending.

khan haven't got a clue on how to "pick shots"..............mayweather also has a reach advantage over khan so it's not like khan will be able to just stay on the outside & pray for the best.

What recent changes have been made in boxing's weight-class rankings? Dan Rafael reveals his new world standings.

Jesus CHRIST 147 is thin these days.

Mayweather-Khan or Mayweather-Berto are the obvious choices if he and Manny can't come to terms.

Or maybe he'll call Malignaggi after all

I don't have a clue who Floyd could fight later this year that boxing fans would consider legit. Khan has a fight, Pacquiao has a fight, and I doubt it would be Martinez. Bradley's Top Rank and getting a Pacquiao fight.

Berto or no one, I can't see anything else.

Did any of you watch the post fight presser? It couldn't have been more obvious that PBF has no intention of taking on Pacquiao.

If he fights in 2012 it will be Khan, if it's later than that it will be Canelo. Who else does GBP have?

Not many realistic options, outside of Pac and Khan (Who has done nothing at 47 yet to get a shot at Floyd):
Andre Berto-IBF champ, Randall Bailey is his mandatory, Ortiz's "leftovers", Both managed by Al Haymon
Vyacheslav Senchenko-Undefeated WBA Champ, never fought in the U.S., doubt he would want to make his debut in the states against Floyd
Jan Zaveck-Coming off a loss against Berto, doubt he'd want to make it two in row
                    Mike Jones-Top Rank fighter, Fuggedaboutit
Tim Bradley-Hasn't proven anything at WW, see above
Devon Alexander-Hasn't proven anything at WW, Golden Boy isn't going to throw him in the ring w/ Floyd just after signing him
Selcuk Aydin-Undefeated WBC mandatory challenger for the past few years that was paid step aside money a couple times by Berto

if i were mayweather i would sit out & wait for khan to finish his next 2 fights (1 at jr. welterweight & another at welterweight)

manny will not agree to test so thats out of the picture...............
