Hahaha i think this really has a lot to do with the issue, Floyd must have been so pissed after that headbutt.

PLUS Floyd did take an apology but then ortiz wanted to hug him again and thats when the punches happened. Plus that hug and kiss was just plain wrong. Do it miguel cotto style do a little bow and cotinue fighting.

Hugging and kissing in the middle of the fight ? WTF

still i understand why floyd gets hate hahaha he IS an *******

But still if Ortiz knew Floyd was dirty then why play dirty with the Dirtiest of them all.

    Just my 2 cents

The kiss on the cheek was over the top, I admit, but jesus are you guys overreacting! It's not like he wanted to make out with him, ****. He realized he'd ****ed up and probs thought he was about to be disqualified, so he overdone the apology....plus he was clearly genuinely apologetic, since he was still apologizing in the postfight interviews.... that being said, I think Ortiz was very naive and too trusting and there was no need to go in for ANOTHER hug, but still.... what Floyd did was cold man, and Cortez's instructions were very unclear. He said 'let's go' but then he looked like a slack-jawed fool toward the timekeeper and clearly wasn't marshalling/ministering the fight like he shoulda done hence Ortiz's confusion

Ortiz knew he ****ed up and in his mental state he felt like he deserved the punches.

Yeah i feel u men, but lets see it from this point of view, its not the first time at all Floyd has done something like this, if Victor did his homework and studied floyd tapes, HE DEFINITELY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER. HAHAHAH poor guy.

Still ... ortiz has some emotional stability problems hahaha the guy should go to a shrink. Nothing personal he is a good kid.

Victor Ortiz will say in the future that he wasn't in the ring that night and it didn't happen because he doesn't remember it.

ortiz probably meant to do that headbutting thing just in case floyd goes rough and does something illegal. ortiz must have gone over this in his mind and he and his entire team were convinced that floyd was sure to do it. unfortunately, it became an obsession to get back even with the condition missing. the result was a disaster.
