Cortez poor refereeing allowed floyd to do that. You as a referee have to be watching the fighters when you say lets go!
Because Floyd could have kicked Oritz in the head unconscious and Cortez would be none the wiser.

It doesn't change the fact they were sucka punches.
Actually, believe or not, A large sum of people last night were trying to claim the punch was illegal and Floyd should have ben DQ'd.

Incredibly shrewd move by one incredibly smart fighter. You can see Mayweather trying to get the fight started again, and Ortiz just wants to keep hugging him. Mayweather has his gloves up, ready to go again, while Ortiz is doing nothing.

Cortez gave the signal to go, at that point all bets are off anyway.

he did accept his apology..........he hugged ortiz & put his hands back up & continued to punch.

a guy faking to accept a apology would have had his arms open in a hugging position but quickly punch never touching ortiz in a hug. mayweather touched ortiz back.........

ortiz butted mayweather over 5 times..........

              Well they are wrong.

Cortez clearly asked the fighters to continue.

Who the hell said it wasnt legal? It was legal. People are questioning if the ref properly commencing fight- he did but poorly seperating it?

Even floyd said himself it was dirty- but it is legal.

I can't believe people actually look at what happened and say it wasn't dirty... That's ultimate nuthugging there. I give up. Have fun talking about it.

Yes, it was not a controversial stoppage. This stoppage made as much a statement as the time Mayweather stopped Corrales. This will be one of the first fights that everyone will be talking about when Mayweather went toe to toe and KOed Victor Ortiz when speaking of Mayweather's legacy.
