It won't be any different with Pacquiao. If that coward ever finds the courage to actually get in the ring with Floyd, his fans will come up with 1,000 reasons why Floyd's win isn't what it should have been. And now that Ortiz has been KO'd, as we speak Freddie Roach is reevaluating whether he wants the keystone of his career to risk fighting a guy who came in at 150lbs and just KO'd a guy who just came in as a SMW at 164lbs.

Pacquiao won't fight guys at 147 let alone at 164lbs.

But I can GUARANTEE that most people here won't acknowledge that winning despite that kind of weight disparity in of itself is a huge accomplishment. Casual fans think that weight doesn't make a difference unless you're Manny Pacquiao playing the "too small" card and making his opponents dehydrate down 2 extra pounds .. despite Pacquiao being ONLY 2" shorter than both Floyd and Shane Mosley.

The saddest part about all this is that now that Ortiz has been defeated and dethroned, Pacquiao will seek a fight with him. BUT!!!! Keep an eye on what weight Ortiz is stipulated to come in at. I can guarantee that it won't be 164lbs!!!

Ortiz will be asked to come in at 147-150lbs. If Pacquiao is even half the fighter that Mayweather is, he needs to stop fighting just the names and start fighting the same conditions that Mayweather faces.

Floyd fighting DLH at 170lbs+ and Pacquiao fighting DLH at 145lbs are hardly the same thing, but you can't tell that to *******s!

If Pacquiao really thinks that he can do what Mayweather does, let's see him do it without catchweights!!! I'll pay to see Pacquiao fight Ortiz if Ortiz is allowed to come in at 164lbs! We all know that it will never happen because Pacquiao will continue to use the crutch of being 2" shorter than Floyd, and that's why he has HAD to use catchweights and rehydration clauses.

Watch for *******s and casual fans alike to start with the "but Pac is so small" and "give the little guy a break" bull****.

Champions need no extra measure. They come as they are and slay all who manage to make it to the top to face them.

Pacquiao stopped doing that YEARS ago. Floyd continues to face the best .. even those who come in 2 divisions heavier than himself. Who else outside of HW has done that other than Roy Jones????

First off Ortiz is a good fighter and he actually made this fight bigger than it was suppose to be because of his courage and his heart. Secondly Wasn't ugly boy Maynever a 6-1 betting favorite everyone knew that Ortiz was going to come at about 160 that was no secret. Plus isn't one of the Maynevers motto's that skills pay the bills not weight?? So what does 14 pounds have to do with anything when every boxing fan in the world knows that Ortiz does not have the skills that Maynever has. Thirdly how can anybody be proud of knocking a guy down for the ten count with his hands down prove anything. I could guarantee that if Pac fought Ortiz that he would not need his hands down to put him on the canvas. Fourthly wasn't Margarito 165 on fight night against Pacquaio plus he's 5'11 five inches taller than the Pacman. And lastly aren't you all the same Floyd Maynever fans that are calling for Sergio Martinez to move up to super middle because he is 2 inches taller than Floyd and has a 7 -12 pound weight advantage over Floyd. You Maynever fans are probably the easiest to break down because to say a whole lot of nothing to back up your coward!!!!!!!!!!

At least Ortiz was apologetic about it though. Floyd did that and although it was more of a ****** move by Ortiz then anything Floyd basically said **** you to everyone afterwards.

Like I said earlier in the week, some people need to stop hating on Mayweather and his skill/ability. Ortiz was looking for a way out of the fight after the first round when he realized that he could not match his speed, and was going to have to fight backwards. I reviewed the 1:04 - 1:11 mark of the 4th round and saw nothing. The so-called rally that he made before the headbutt was pointless because he didn't land a clean shot or he was hitting air, that's the reason of the frustration that lead to the head butt. He's 24 but he's still a delusional kid at heart because he didn't realize what he did would result in some action and also if the butt was a little higher or Mayweather wasn't leaning back so far we could have had a broken nose from the butt. Roach knows and has said that he has the formula to beat Mayweather he just has to convince Manny. Now that tells me that Manny doesn't really want the fight, Freddie does to massage his ego as a trainer.

Come with facts or interesting conversation...leave the name calling for your fantasy football league. Now...why do you disagree with my point that Ortiz was going to get knocked out in the seventh or eighth round?

What has Maynever done in the past to make you believe that he would have scored a 7-8 ko/tko???? that just isn't Maynever's game he does not have the power to stop a fighter in the 7/8th round and does not punch enough. And my main point was how can someone or any fan be proud of Maynever for dropping a 6-1 betting underdog with his hands down??? S*** like that does not impress Me. Ortiz was a hand picked rookie that was a 6-1 underdog for good reason. But absolutely believe that as Long as Ortiz was standing and did not get cheap shot ko'd he had a chance to beat Maynever.

It was bad sportmanship because he was smiling at Ortiz and he noticed the ref wasnt looking and took advantage big time.
The ref was poor though, you have to be looking at the fighters because Floyd could have kicked Ortiz in the head for all we knew.

Absolutely Ortiz would have gone down in the 8th, I had him going down in the 9nth. If you watch the fight, you would have to agree. He was completely outclassed, frustrated, and was drowning fast, it was a matter of time.
And for the record, anyone who claims Pac is anything closer than a A minor leaguer to Floyd's Major League status, is completely delusional. Floyd is uncontended as the greatest fighter on the planet.

Damn sweet. Watch the 1:04 - 1:11 mark it was a rally by Victor almost all landed and floyd shakes his head as if to say I wasn't hurt but of course he was lol. Then 2:40 -2:43 Can't you see that?? That was all head?? Clean crisp shots. And the start of the round Victor blocked almost everything Floyd threw. His hands were all up even if floyd threw some shots it was blocked by Victor. Most of Floyd's shots were blocked.
