lets get one thing straight, Floyd did NOTHING wrong. Cortez is to BLAME.

first of all, lets get one thing straight. floyd mayweather did absolutely nothing wrong last night, he capitalised on 2 mistakes that ortiz made. ortiz should never have headbutted and when he did, he should have protected himself knowing floyd was mad about the headbutt.

floyd done nothing but use his experience to ko ortiz. joe cortez clearly says 'box on'. this gives the fighters the go ahead to fight. in soccer we are taught to 'play to the whistle', and this is no different. joe cortez then turns his back and looks at the time realising he didn't do that prior to saying 'box on'. floyd then ko'd ortiz.

if anyone is to blame its cortez for not protecting fighters, which is his number one priority in the ring... he wasnt even watching the fight when floyd swung for ortiz. how does he know floyd didnt headbutt him back? or high kick ortiz in the face?

joe cortez has always been controversial and loves the attention. its time for him to step down. otherwise one day he'll get a fighter killed in the ring.

Cortez didn't cover himself in glory as he wasn't even looking at the action but it's Ortiz's fault not Cortez. Ortiz should have protected himself, he also should have not tried to hug and kiss Mayweather like a little horny school girl, that's not what a fighter does.

i blame ortiz regardless of whether joe was looking or not, it wouldn't have made a difference. whether or not ortiz heard JC say "let's go", he chose to hug. he didn't defend himself, simple as that.

just because it was legal doesn't mean it was right. I think most boxing fans who aren't floyd nuthuggers were in shock at what he did. Boxers just don't suckerpunch people like that, even after a headbutt, low blow, or elbow. it's like dropping a nuke on a country that bombed your embassy. The embassy bombing, while completely wrong, was freakin overshadowed by half a country being nuked. But I do agree that it's time for cortez to go away.

No way Ortiz could win. PBF was going to KO him regardless. Cortez, headbutt, etc etc. Ortiz can never beat Mayweather. NEVER

Cortez did nothing wrong,he just asked the time keeper if he had started the time yet.Victor knew what was up that's why he didnt say anything wrong the first time he was interviewed.

Admit it Ortiz was beaten. He tried jumping up and down the way he normally does and he got caught with a check hook.Whatever he was doing he was getting punished,he couldnt see shots coming.

Floyd was a classless clown. Absolutely no fair play there.

What Floyd did was allowable, of course it was a "legal" hit but there are unwritten rules in all sports and when fighters are touching gloves you should not be throwing punches. But it was classless and unsportsmanlike for him to do so.

"Mayweather really showed a lot of talent by hitting a man WHO WASN'T LOOKING AT HIM. Regardless of how dirty the head-butt was, why would you want to win by punching a defenselss man? It's just pathetic that he thinks it's ok."

Cheap shot ain't right. If you are the best win it the right way and you get all the glory. Wtf, he even had a go with Larry Merchant.. This ain't wrestling Floyd.. We wanted to get are moneys worth. Would have been an action packed fight. I wanted you to win the right way. Am I asking too much?? Ain't classy indeed.

So Ortiz's headbutt which ISN'T legal, was OK? Most fans who aren't PBF haters were in shock at what Ortiz did, and didn't cheer the foul like Ortiz's fans did. Then Mayweather KO'S Ortiz.... And it's a FOUL????? GTFOOH!!! Cortez had nothing to do with the outcome. Ortiz was getting KO'D regardless! Live with it!!!

Cortez wasn't FIRM enough in giving the signal for the resumption of hostilities and he wasn't even looking at the fighters still talkin at each other. He should've broken up the romance with more authority but his mind was elsewhere.

It's still a cheap shot by Floyd. He doesn't need that kind of advantage in a fight. He's too good for cheap tricks like that. It was clear Ortiz wasn't ready yet when he got clocked, so it takes a lot from Floyd's victory. It takes away from the fight too.

Ortiz certainly wasn't in combat mode during that moment. He wasn't KO'ed in an exchange. That's what sucks about this whole thing.
