It may not have been as ****** for Ortiz as people think.

It was a controversial end to the fight, and Floyd said he could have a rematch if he wants one. If this is true and there is a rematch as Floyd said he'd give Ortiz, then that's two of Ortiz's biggest paydays for fighting Floyd twice is it not???

May is real lame. Ortiz although was not winning showed that he could land blows and was not as aggressive as Pac would be. AS for Boxingtech718v2 comments what fight did you watch. The ref did not say to fight again. You can get off Mays sack already.
This was supposed to be a good fight not some cheap shot victory. This makes me wonder if May really believed he could win.

why would floyd ruin a fight like that? this ppv cost a lot,the fans at the arena paid a lot,hotel,etc...thats messed up,i think he was winnin but it was early in the fight and a lot can happen especially with a guy who has power like ortiz,it was legal what he did,but like they said,classless...it's like when the bell rings for opening round and guy stretches out his hand to begin fight,yeah you can hit him,but nobody does that,lost all respect for floyd

I'm glad I didn't pay for this crap. Cortez continues to be incompetent. Ortiz showed why he was selected for this fight. Ortiz got what he deserved, a point deduction. He's lucky he didn't get dq'ed. Mayweather confirmed what we already knew. He's a punk, plain and simple. Good boxer, but when threatened, he resorts to cheating, elbows, sucker punches etc. Never disliked the guy until now. This display was disgraceful and should be reviewed. I actually thought he had a chance against pac but not now. Pac is a completely different animal. Not that the fight will ever happen.

What kind of bull**** fight is this Joe Cortez needs to be fired or something how does he take points away from Ortiz without warning him first and then allows mayweather to hit him without him resuming the fight and still accepts it.

fyi the ref can deduct a point at any time and for an obvious rule infraction such as vics intentional head butt. and the fighter must protect himself at all times. and the ref dont have to say box. once the ref is out the way the fight is on. but most dont know this as most havent laced them up. its the same as the gatti fight when floyd knocked gatti down after a break. what floyd did was legal so bring on pac, then khan.

In fight dirty tactics will get you penalized. Fight ending dirty tactics SHOULD get you disqualified.
