Screw the haters. That was an entertaining night of boxing from all the fights, and I don't blame Floyd one bit for how he won that fight. He looked amazing in that fight.

Now everyone can shut up about Ortiz, it was getting annoying.

Last night was a low point for boxing, right behind the Mike Tyson ear biting incident.

Ortiz was overmatched but certainly not out in round three. Then Ortiz, assumingly frustrated by Mayweather's skills threw an ugly head butt in desperation which thankfully did not cause much damage (post fight Ortiz lies about the intention of the butt). Instead of taking his point loss and a few normal glove pats to apologize, Ortiz continued his remorsefulness tour after the ref asked the fighters to box on (significant because this makes Mayweather's win legal). Mayweather, came in close to a defenseless Ortiz seeming to continue his acceptance of Ortiz's apology, and sucker punched his way to a KO.

Then when pressed about the punches Mayweather curses and insults an 80 year old man- who stood up to him by the way.

Pretty Boy Floyd is now ****** Boy Floyd. Ortiz is somewhat bizarre. The hero of the night is Larry Merchant. I will never spend another dollar watching GBF.

What kind of bull**** fight is this Joe Cortez needs to be fired or something how does he take points away from Ortiz without warning him first and then allows mayweather to hit him without him resuming the fight and still accepts it.

fyi the ref can deduct a point at any time and for an obvious rule infraction such as vics intentional head butt. and the fighter must protect himself at all times. and the ref dont have to say box. once the ref is out the way the fight is on. but most dont know this as most havent laced them up. its the same as the gatti fight when floyd knocked gatti down after a break. what floyd did was legal so bring on pac, then khan.

i think robbery decisions hurts the sport the hardest. mayweather has built his career on negativity and controversy but millions of people still continue to tune in for a night of boxing. why should tonight be any different?

We're die hard boxing fans, we buy PPVs and unnecessarily subscribe to premium cable channels to watch boxing. We have our biases, fighters we like and dislike. But no one fighter should be greater than the sport. Unfortunately we build two fighters who stand head and shoulders above all other boxers.

Last night was supposed to be a showcase for boxing. However, a series of failings will overshadow a brilliant legacy building performance. Who is to blame, Cortez, Merchant, FMJ and Ortiz? They all are, none more than the other.

I somewhat get your point. FMJ persona is based on notoriety, and last night's antics were to be expected.

This isnt MMA... Ortiz was trying to hug and kiss and got ****ed up the same way Mosley did. Ortiz has a weak ass chin. Remember, Floyd has feather fists...

Haters are going to hate, but FLOYD was in the right. He was there to FIGHT..... (FIGHT)... not kiss and grab ass like Ortiz was trying to do. Not like Mosley and Pac where trying to do... wtf is everyone's problem?

That is one of the most de****able acts done by a boxer in the ring. Anyone who thinks that something like this is acceptable is as guilty as Floyd for giving one more reason for fans to turn away from the sport.

Floyd fans wake up! If you love the sport, do the right thing. Condemn this fight. Show your indignation. Don't allow your bias to blind you from seeing what this fight just did to boxing.

That's great to know that you don't have to wait for the ref to say box. Fighters should just go ahead and KO their opponents while they're on their stool between rounds.
