  • Embarrassing for the sport.

Ortiz is an idiot for headbutting, and not protecting himself. I guess what Floyd did was smart, if it was indeed legal, albeit pretty cheap. Not a good look for boxing.

Tonight Ortiz had the mental stature of an angry child. A bit harsh, but that headbutt was uncalled for and really started the whole situation. He also seemed a bit too happy at the end there.

Ortiz walked through bombs against Berto and then he can't even get to his knees from a hook and straight right?

      Sorry...

I think Floyd would have won anyway but something smells fishy...
Thats what I think.... Too many things were lining up.

He choked Ortiz. He won on a "dirty shot". He yelled at an 80 year old white man. Everything was made to make Floyd look like the bad guy. IT is definitely a prelude to a Pac fight.

Pac has been the good guy, singing, and looking like a very likable guy, and people are backing Manny crazy.

Its gonna be the Arrogant, ****y, flashy, "American" against the likable worldl guy, in Pac.

      Too many stars aligning....

WAR Mayweather. Fuck a Victor Ortiz. Dirty fighter.

Agreed. This is boxing if you want to fight dirty you can't complain about it when you get it in return. What do fighters do when they get hit low intentionally, they look to return the favour......

I just owned your sorry ass. Come over tomorrow and I'll give you your slave gear.

i say fix....... to be honest.

i called some shady **** with cortez immediately when i heard he was the ref... got a FB post with comments about it before the fight even started.

but that not even being brought up in a house fll of people watching, everyone said that looked like some WWE scripted ****, and the replays don't do it any justice neither.......

if you connect the dots, something that people who can easily rip you off do, they tell you about it before they do it, and what was floyd saying during the 24/7's, ( i am paraphrasing) " you aint getting a refund, i got your money, i'm taking it, done deal "....

but intentions were said prior to the fight and look what happened, and with the ultimate set up inside guy, joe "i'm half ******ed and loving it" cortez....

seems like an easy one two punch with a bunch of poor actors, a veteran ref being so out of it and distracted and not focused on the fighters or the fight, seems HIGHLY plausible and highly probable.

either way you dice it, it's a stinky turd smothered in bad acting..... the replays say it all.........

if i was a christian, this would be like 1,000,000 christmases all come at once. there's a savory, saline aroma that i can literally smell through the screen from all you bitches' tears filling up the forum.

i thought nothing would ever quite top mayweather-hatton fight-night on this site. but this has gone wayyyyyy past that.

bull****, son. larry's antagonism of mayweather goes back to the late 90's when floyd was that polite, bubbly young guy who was always smiley, eager to answer the old man's questions and give a charming account of himself while merchant would make unnecessary, snide remarks like "you're only quick in the ring, floyd". pretty obvious how long you've been following boxing if you don't know there's 15 years of history between these two. merchant took an instant dislike to floyd from day 1, long, long, loooooong before the controversial floyd persona existed. my only disappointment is that mayweather couldn't feasibly smash the sottish old poison-dwarf in the mouth.

                  • lol at all the people blaming Floyd when Ortiz started it all in the first place by headbutting him !!! ....

                    -Ortiz head butts Floyd

                    -Ref takes a point

                    -Ortiz apologizes to Floyd

-They both take a step back

                    -Ortiz has his hands down

-Floyd throws a hook , than a straight knocking out Ortiz.

and then Floyd is the bad buy ?? Boxing 101 people : protect yourself at all times.
You're in the ring to fight , not to kiss each other.

neither did mosley when he was hit by floyd when "talking".

Serious question though. Do you feel floyd was in the wrong here? Not from a technical rule standpoint, but from a sportsmanship/moral perspective.
