Wouldn't you make sure the time keeper was ready BEFORE you motioned for them to fight?

Cortez ****ed up, and gave mixed signals, at best.

I personally don't think he really considered time started, and as going to turn to them and instruct them to begin fighting after confirming the time keeper was ready.

But he doesn't want to admit he lost control in the ring.

Mayweather did nothing wrong. Protect yourself at all time, that's the name of the game. He hugged, then raised his guard (mayweather) and through the hook AFTER cortez waved the fight on.

At 1:03 of this clip you clearly hear Cortez saying " lets go" and waving the fight on. Choosing to hug is not an ideal action after you've just intentionally headbutt somebody. Even then, Floyd hugs for a sec and then raises his guard before throwing the left hook. Ortiz saying he didnt hear it is BS.
