Seriously? How "brilliant" is he? He is using the same guys that five other opponents have used to prep for Floyd, and using the exact same gameplan that several other trainers have verbalized before the fight.

Hatton used Stevie Forbes as a sparring partner and Graham said that they would knock Floyd's shoulder off.

Gatti said that if Floyd was shoulder-rolling, he would hit what he can and punish Floyd's arms and body.

Oscar brought in Shane as a SP, and had Shane mimic Floyd's modified Philly Shell. Oscar and Roach said they would launch a sustained body attack.

In Danny Garcia's brilliance, what have you heard him say or do that you haven't seen previous trainers say or do?

I noticed that Floyd and Roger don't switch the padwork up to southpaw . Don't know if that will have any effect

Hatton & Ortiz are not the same, in the slightest, Oscar was old, Gatti rip really wasn't that skilled. Ortiz is younger, & faster & stronger & bigger than Hatton. He's better at this time than the part time Oscar was then,(who enjoyed some success). Gatti was the most exciting blood & guts warrior there was, Ortiz would have ko'd him just as quickly, if not quicker than Floyd did.

Also when doing mittwork, Garcia tends to adopt a Mayweather "shoulder roll" style stance whilst going to work

I know these are simply snippets of training, which only give you a small idea how things are operating within camp, but isn't Garcia aware that Mayweather doesn't use a shoulder roll stance against southpaws. He uses a high guard.

Also seen during mittwork training and with sparring partners, they are always fighting going backwards against Ortiz.

Have a feeling that Garcia has looked too much into the Hatton fight.

Floyd will be coming forward with a high guard and pressing the action with a solid body attack.
Also when the shoulder roll is used by Floyd he counters hitting his opponent in the face. While Ortiz's hitting the shoulder Floyd will be destroying his face

High guard straight right hook then a step left. straight right hook to the body right hand... the real X factor is Victor will, his ability to crowd, and if he can get his straight left right uppercuts in exchanges

1: Zab Judah is a smaller and more elusive target than ortiz and look how he dealt with him.

2: ortiz doesnt move his head and doesnt use a jab, all floyd has to do is jab and he can win even if hes being outlanded in power shots

3: floyd does better against bigger targets, while ortiz isnt much bigger, he does stand squared up giving floyd a huge target to work with.
