Larry, I think he was 10 pounds over at 157. I think he'll weigh in OK even if he's struggling right now.

10 pounds off the weight 30 days out is nothing for a professional fighter... Nothing.

A fighter in training camp loses around 2-5 pounds (depending on how much body fat and water the fighter has) in a 2-3 hour session (1 hour if it's road work), so if they're doing 2 a days, we're talking about 4-10 pounds a day (of course you're going to put most of the weight back after eating and drinking, but losing 1,2,3 pounds a day is not out of the norm).

I remember stating the same for the Martinez-Williams rematch, when it was reported Sergio was around 18 pounds above the weight a month out. All of you saw what happened there...

If Ortiz was only 10 pounds off the weight 30 days out, he's going to make the weight without a problem and be strong at it too.

If he can't lose 10 pounds in 30 days, he has a serious lack of discipline -- just to Canelo Alvarez -- and deserves to lose his belt.
