Ok, so why didn't the fight get stopped exactly after the cut occured from the punch you are refering to? I assume it's the overhand right Lennox landed in the 3rd rd or so.

The controversy exists because while the cut could have been caused by that cut or the head collision after that exchange, Lennox's arms, wrists, head and face were in contact with that cut constantly after he noticed it was there. It wasn't just follow up punches that took the cut from bad to worse, to stoppage.

The fact that there's 14 pages of replys about the matter make the topic very much in my favor of being debatable.

A rematch was warranted and yes while legally Lennox won the fight , Vitali got the better of him.

And all 4 parties involved in this thing know it whether they admit it or not.

He won the fight against a young, great champ when he was clearly out of shape and past his prime through experience, heart and ring savvy. It's what a great old champion does. They just win the fight.

You know what strikes me about that fight.

Lewis could get down and dirty but he didn't randomly duke it up with punchers.

Made me think, that he felt he could hurt him and not pay too much of a price when he got in.

I just posted in about liking your "specificity". Now you're talking like the ignoramuses, (or should it be ignoramii) about nonsense like "his eye would have fallen out of the socket". I really thought that YOU would have long ago seen that there was NO damage in the close vicinity of his eye at all. That the cut was merely across his eyebrow, not even down to the bone, the ridge, and therefore, once it stopped bleeding, (by 4th rd) and wasn't swollen so as to cause vision impairment, of no importance in the fight. It never even in the brief time it was bleeding, dripped into Klitschko's eye.

The bruise UNDER his eye, if it had swollen-which it hadn't- and impaired his vision, would have potentially been a greater fight stopper.

I am disppointed....not for the first time of course, and seemingly not for the last either.
