Intuitively, I'd just base it on the last few years of activity. I think there is a tendency in boxing to keep people on these lists for too long. I'd say 2 years of awesome performances against excellent opponents. How you weigh those two variables is up to you.Comment

how do you justify mayweather going to number 2 when he beats ortiz? ortiz isnt even top ten. and if you look at todays welterweights, it isnt a hot division like it used to be.
skills wise we all know mayweather is right up there, probably the best, but a win over ortiz doesnt prove much imo.Comment
