Take Pac who is not mentioned,,,,,Pac MAKES his KO's happen whether some go into survival mode or not

Why can't Jr the same ??????????????

IF there is a KO it will have to come from a ORTIZ who bumrushes wide open swinging for the stars with his eyes shut not seeing the punches, cause I just can't see ONE punch from JR doing the job.

Somebody mentioned yesterday that the turnbuckle was the culprit in KOing HATTON, I remember thinking that myself when he hit it head on.

NO ,,,if there is any KOing to be done it will be done by ORTIZ by the Third round.

IF ORTIZ doesn't fold under the pressure of frustration and fights smartly thru it using his POWER I see ORTIZ stopping JR and RUINING HIS CAREER FOREVER !!!!!!

This may be a great fight.

I would NOT have bought this fight if I had not seen ORTIZ vs BERTO

I may stop buying fights if the price keeps going up
Bookmarked, to ensure that Mayweather gets his props

But yep, that comment was bull****.

Just like his " cleaning up the sport " rubbish.

And just like Pacquiao's " I have agreed to the test " bull****.

Arum is correct. Floyd's consistent incoherence and contradictions is another strong indication that Floyd has now almost totally lost his sanity. This will make *****s' life more miserable.

Some of the guys on this site, and you know who I am referring to, act like Pacquiao was the champ, and then along came the brash upstart Mayweather.

Mayweather never relinquished that #1 spot.

Especially not to a guy who is feeding on old men, faded champions, and bums, and will not fight anyone dangerous without a catch-weight.

Agreed, but Marquez is a very highly skilled experienced fighter.

If you honestly think JMM will be able to last the entire fight against a 144lb Pac then you don't know boxing. Also you need to brush your teeth cause your breaths smells.
JMM is a come-forward, flat-footed one-dimensional fighter like Pacquiao's welterweight list of opponents?

Here's some advice: Before you try cracking another joke about somebodies breath where nobody but yourself finds it funny, do me a favor. Go get cable, because I know right now you can't afford it. But get somebody to pay for a cable subscription, so you can watch channels like ESPN, A&E, History. Well, you'll need a TV first, which I know you don't have either (Money is required), so go steal one, or hell a job works also. But watch some Boxing documentaries. Then go to the library and get some books about boxing, specifically ones that teach you about certain styles matching up to others.

Then re-watch Pacquiao's fights against flat-footed, come-forward, one-dimensional fighters, then watch his fights against counter punchers, or guys who can fight off their back foot.

Then make the same prediction that Pacquiao, a guy who doesn't KO guys early in fights (except Hatton), is going to knock Marquez out cold.

Until you do that, don't make anymore posts. You probably don't realize it but you're making yourself look like a complete idiot.

                - Baldomir was only KOed once in his 7th fight (in 1994!) when he faced Floyd. Judah, Gatti & Forrest didn't knock him out either.

                - Zab was only KOed by an in his prime HOF Kosta Tszyu.

                - Oscar was only KOed by B-Hop when he moved up to middleweight. Trinidad, Vargas & Mosley didn't knock him out. Pac didn't even knock him down.

                - JMM has never been KOed. Not even by Pac in two fights. Sure Pac has knocked him down. So did Floyd.

                - Shane has never been KOed. Not even by Pac. Vargas, Forrest, Oscar & Mayorga didn't knock him out either.

I can see people wanting Floyd to be more aggressive and go for the KO at the end of the fight, but can't the same be said about Pac w/ Margarito & Mosley?
You made some great points there, good work..... but I dont care what Mayweather says - and believe me, I am not underestimating him - he will not engage Ortiz toe-to-toe.

He is nuts if he does, that would be crazy stuff, regardless as to the entertainment value that would provide for the fans..... and if he does, it will be late in the fight when Ortiz has lost his edge, has started to break down, and Mayweathers timing is spot on.

I am not bashing Mayweather, just saying that I have heard all this before, and that it would make no sense at all to go at Ortiz when you have a superbly well-rounded skillset and can beat him on the outside.

T think that I am giving Ortiz more credit than most, and I see him as a dangerous opponent for anyone at welter.

Styles make fights, which is why Pacquiao ducked Ortiz, and Mayweather stepped up.

Many of us thought the same of Mosley, that he wouldn't get knocked down. When was the last time we saw Mosley on the canvas? Mosley said afterwards that he has never been hit that hard in his life. In recent years, Pac's KD's haven't come from accumulation either. Hatton went down fast and was out cold. Mosley, out of all people, went down fast too and was noticeably seeing stars on the ground before getting up finally. And Shane is well-known for his granite chin. Cotto went down fairly easily too, and because he tried to continue his face ended up as a bloody massacre. Margarito didn't go down, but suffered a broken orbital (how many times does that happen?). Face was butchered up.

I think the only victimless opponent was Clottey. Who covered up all day long and didn't want to pull that trigger that often. A well covered punching bag.

Marquez will get KO'd quite fast. And if not, his face will end up seriously battered. There is a very good reason why Coach Roach, Ariza, and company say with extreme confidence that in these fights that Pac will not just win, but STOP their opponents. Hall of Fame guys who are not known at all for ever getting stopped.
Had Shane stayed in front of Manny like he did against Floyd trying to knock Floyd's head off, his face could have looked far worse than Margarito's. His face could have looked like a chopped liver. And despite the little number of punches Shane received attributed to his running for survival and refusing to fight at all, Shane said after the fight that the lumps all over his face after the Pac fight, are far greater in number than what he got from the rest of his fights combined.
