If Winky was active, Martinez wouldn't be standing alone.

Sergio being a southpaw, a moving 1 at that would fair much better than taylor.
No he wouldn't. Taylor was bigger than them both.

Listen, I don't think he lost that fight. If it were at 160, I think he'd have gotten the W.

Size had little to do with it there. Martinez being a southpaw and a mover already gives him a significant advantage that taylor lacked.

Taylor has too many intangibles that go against him. Cardio issues late in a fight, unwillingness to get himself out of the corner, admire his work.

Hopkins neutralized it with Movement and Clinching. One of those is something martinez will show a lot of.

Look, You won't find a bigger Winky fan than me on here, Martinez too. In Fact, my youtube channel is full of Winkys early fights and martinez's early fights. There really are no fighters in the sport who I've studied more than these two, possibly Clottey (huge clottey fan as well).

I'm just calling it as I've seen it throughout the years watching both fighters and knowing the sport. Taylor did a lot of things that played into rights hands. Like back up into a corner with his left hand down and not fight his way out so winky could jab him all day.. Just an example.

Now.. I am not saying Dizzy is anywhere near the level of a Winky but he is a tall Southpaw who's best weapon is his jab and we saw exactly what sergio did to it. Sam Salimon had his hands on his hips all night long and didn't move at all but kept that fight close based on volume alone. martinez has an 'alright' workrate.. a seriously underrated jab (The best 3 jabs in the sport were Wlad, Sturm, Dizzy until Sergio moved himself into that spot with the dizzy outjabbage) and I just think he's being overlooked big time here.

I'd favor Winky, ofcourse. But this is in no way shape or form an easy fight and Sergio is a MUCH tougher fight for Winky than Taylor was. Taylor was tailer made. A conventional fighter who keeps his lead on his hip against a southpaw jabber?

That fight looked just like Alexander/Kotelnik at times. Anyway, some wright/martinez fights i've got up.

An active Winky at this point would not beat Martinez.

A prime Winky would cause him hell though.
