Tarver could not have knocked out s**t, he is one of the most overrated fighters ever with a ridiculous mouth. His whole career is built on one single KO of RJJ, period. Tarver lost to glen johnson (who BHOP stopped, and Joe beat BHOP). Calzaghe beat a prime undefeated Lacy, a tough Sakio Bika, a prime undefeated Kessler and a legendary Bhop (who embarrased Tarver, whipped a prime Pavlik and beat a young current champion in Jean Pascal). Calzaghe was knocked down 3 times in his entire 46 fight career and all were flash and he was never even hurt. Calzaghe would have beaten Tarver and embarrased Froch too. Calzaghe beat BHOP more concisively than anyone else (according to compubox). The only supermiddle out there who may have been able to beat Joe C. is andre ward, who is easily the best super middle in the world right now. Tarver was never elite, he was up there but never hall of fame worthy at all.

round 1 starts and tarver pumps the jab from his southpaw stance. calzaghe looks to find his range but tarver's length is frustrating him. calzaghe rushes in and gets hit with a big left hand for his trouble. another left from tarver and calzaghe slightly wobbles which infuriates the welsh man. calzaghe grits his teeth and windmills both hands in anger. a look of fear washes over tarver's usually emotionless face. the twin windmill assault hits tarver full force against the ropes and the ref rushes in to try and save tarver but it's too late.............he's gone.Last edited by daggum; 09-14-2011, 02:41 AM.
