lets put it this way i think he means a world title belt being one of the big 4 wbc, wba, ibf or wbo, he had the wbc the most and i agree with you he only had the 'world title' (as in undisputed) after he got the nod over evander then defended 3 times, then was reduced all other times to having the wbc strap which he had defended more than 3 times, whether we class him as a belt holder, or its a portion of the world title or whatever world title holder however each individual looks at it i think mart is classing lewis' defences since his first defence of the wbc

                Nonsense.

He won the title from Tony Tucker, so that wasn't a defence. He defended the title TWO times (not 16 times), then got KTFO.

He won the title from Oliver McCall, so that wasn't a defence. He defended it FOUR times (not 16 times), then drew and lost to Holyfield.

He defended the title THREE times (not 16 times) in the year 2000, then got KTFO.

He won the title from Hasim Rahman, so that wasn't a defence. He defended the title TWO times (not 16 times), then quit the sport because he knew that Vitali would of handed him his ass yet again the rematch.

Its peoples different interpretations thats all, some people class as 'the world' being undisputed or linear champ, others regard all belt holders as world champs just your own personal opinion

actually juy the tucker fight is classed as a 'defence', cos lewis was awarded the belt after rid**** threw it in the bin (vacated) and on the strength of his win over ruddock, they did a norton on him so he was technically the champ making a defence against tucker

JUYJUY... There's no need to call me a fool.

I said that Lennox Lewis Won AND defended his crown 16 times, so yes I can include fights where he won the championship.

I DID NOT say that Lennox Lewis made 16 consecutive defences of his crown.
