How can you possibly have Barry McGuigan above Lennox Lewis?
The Clones Cyclone was unique, because he was an Irish fighter but with a Mexican style! A relentless, exciting fighter (the same cannot be said for that Canadian guy who comes from Jamaica and lives in Miami).
McGuigan is a Catholic, and, in a moment when Catholics and Protestant Christians were in the middle of a deeply rooted war in Northern Ireland, McGuigan and his girlfriend, a Protestant, got married. They dreamed of showing Ireland that both factions of Christians can get along. McGuigan reached a national hero status, and during the days he was boxing, Irish people had a popular saying they liked to use: Leave the fighting to Barry.
How many fighters has Mr Canada fought who were in the class of Pedroza?
How the **** has this thread got "today" written all over it? I saw this exact same bull**** list only about two months ago... with Martin even having to explain why Lewis should be on it at the time.
**** like this only puts people off worthy UK boxers... take this ****ing bull**** to "Boxing History", JuyJuy, people don't wanna read this repetitive wank day in, day out. And don't dare have the audacity to tell me there's not a ****ing Eubank thread from you every ****ing day of the week again.
"What a waste of a thread?" - yeah. This ****er is.

That's a beautiful story about Barry McGuigan being a Catholic and all...But that list should be compiled on boxing achievements.
Barry McGuigan won the WBA belt, defended it against two nobodies in Ireland & Northern Ireland and then went to Las Vegas and lost it.
How can you possibly compare that to a fighter that won and defended the heavyweight championship of the World 16 times, a fighter that unified the division. A fighter that was the Olympic gold medalist before turning pro????
I think your "Canada boy" dislike for Lennox Lewis is clearly clouding your judgement.
You have fighters like Don ****ell (gave Rocky Marciano a good fight! ), Tommy Farr (gave Joe Louis a good fight! ), and EVEN Ricky Hatton, with "Honorable Mentions" yet no Lennox Lewis???
personal opinion does cloud certain individuals, im not a lewis fan but he was a good fighter, he did achieve more than mcguigan in boxing terms, im a huge young barry fan too, just a realist

Dude, dude, Lennox Lewis ofcourse would of been way out of his depth against Louis and Marciano. There is no way that Lennox Lewis would ever be able to give Louis or Marciano a good fight, he would be crushed by those cats. So Farr and ****ell righteously deserve honorable mentions ahead of that Lennox Lewis guy.
Ricky Hatton has just beaten Kostyz Tszyu for crying out loud, a better win than any Lennox Lewis can claim. Just like Nigel Benn beating Gerald McClellan was a better win than any Lennox Lewis can claim.
he probably means a portion of it juy, come on now if your being picky barry only had the wba, eubank the wbo, cal the wbo none were truly classed as undisputed, but lewis was

He never defended a portion of the world title any more than four times before either getting KTFO or quitting the sport.
