why do people actually think JCC jr has a shot??

We are talking about a guy that cant even fight 10 rounders yet. He is 23 fights into his career and he still hasnt stepped up in compitition.

Even our own boxingscene.com likes his chances

    4. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr- Jr Welterweight
    Record: 20-0- 15(KO's)
    Stance: Orthodox
    Age: 19
Talk about having a built in fan base. Don't get the wrong idea, he's not just Julio Cesar Chavez's son, but a legit prospect and that's what has the boxing world talking. Chavez Jr has an amazing left hand that he uses to go up and down on opponents. He throws every punch in the book and throws them well
    .

To me this is a really ****ty way to describe him. His left is effective on people that just stand there. That i will give him. But in every fight where the opponent actually fought him instead of laying down for the name has done surprisingly well agaisnt someone who is supposedly the next big thing.

Yes this guy is better then an average fighter, but not by much. He is doing what his father was accused of doing. Fighting basically taxi cab drivers. His opponents all time win loss records combined are 122 - 108, not to mention the only fighting 6 and 8 rounders.

In comparrison to other fighters of notable status such as Vargas who moved to 10 rounders in 10 fights, Shane Mosley in 10 fights, DLH in 7 fights, even his father in 6 figths. He does seem on the sssslllloooooowwww wwwaaaayyyy up the ladder.

His last five fights have been against Stiers (9-4), Alarcon (12-10), Nelson (10-10), Galvan (21-6), and Wynant (9-3). All of which were hand picked, no skilled, Hi, i showed up can i have my check, type of fighters. If he really wants to gain some true fans base and not just people looking for someone to love now that Sr. is done. He needs to step up NOW. Not thirty five fights into his career.

So after all this has been said by me. What do you guys think

Ya know when you are ****ing a chick and a minute or two in you realize that you arent gonna last and then boom you blow your load aka premature ejaculation...ever had that?

Well for you and anyone who is jumping on this baby boy name JCC Jr. your being way too premature ( either way if you think he is great or you thinks he sucks-its premature)...you better get some viagra and take it slow because it will be years before this kid jumps up in comp or to the 10 rounders.

    Be patient and enjoy it...

His father did the same thing in his career. Chavez fought many bums in his first 50 fights. It runs in the family. I just don't see his son being tough like his dad. I will be surprised if he ever becomes anything.

I thought for a second that Boxingscene had him rated No.4 Jr Welterweight in the World!!!

He's got a chance of making it... He's got a lot of money behind him, and boxing talent does run in the genes.

They are rating him as a prospect, and the word you should be focusing on there is "PROSPECT".

Amir Khan has only had 3 pro fights, but I would definatly say that he's a very good prospect... Because of his accomplishemnts in the amatuer ranks.

I wasn't even going to bother responding to this pathetic post because you obviously have no idea. Chavez is 19 years old, there is no reason to rush him. Comparring him to ODLH, Vargas and Mosley shows how much of an idiot you are as they all had successful amateur careers which included hundreds of fights. Chavez had basically no amateur career and is using his early pro career to learn things most would learn in the am's. He isn't fronting like he's the best in the division, he's just taking his time developing his skills slowly and getting used to being in the ring. Next time you have no idea just shut the **** up instead of spitting out the bull **** you usually do!

Its his own fault for doing what everyone else told him to do. He should have went through the amature ranks. And dont give me all the BS about how he is just learning things. He grew up in the ****ing gym. With his dad none the less. So you dont start **** son that you arent ready to finish it

Watching your dad sparr and train in the gym isnt gonna teach you everything you need to know to fight in the Ring. You need the experience for yourself.

Chavez Jr. may be overhyped.. sure one can not deny the possibility.

But if one is against the path he is taking that just ******, because as people mentioned already he is only 19, and he has not amateur experience whatsoever. You dont wanna put a kid like that in front of the lions.

You said it yourself some of the fighters have given Jr. some difficulty before he knocked them out, and you wanna put him in against someone really dangerous already? Sounds like you wanna kill his boxing career.
