El Maja is very talented but he has a LONG WAY TO GO, probably wont see or hear him start making noise in that super bantamweight until he is arount 21-22 years old

Yordenis Ugas is the Cuban Prospect to watch out for in that Welterweight Division though IMO, I could see him in another year or so really start to make noise in that division

but Socarras has a long way to go, but I like his upside better then other prospect in that division like Rico Ramos (no longer a prospect now though), Scott Quigg and Enrique Bernache

I hope this kid keeps his head on straight. He's appears to have potential, but he's really young...a lot can happen.

Thanks for posting the vid, Underboss!

His english is still messed up, but he'll get better.

I only hope he starts fighting quality opponents at 122 so he can move up to 126. There are more bigger fish there than in 122.

No. Socarrás is not his name, it's his surname. And it's not so uncommon in Cuba or Spanish speaking countries. Hairon is his name, which is indeed weird.

He wasn't born in USA. He is from Havana.

"Majá" is the name of a Cuban species of boa constrictor.

Socarras is fighting next month (the 14th) in Kissimmee FL (boxrec).

PS - I added his 2nd pro fight just incase anyone wanted to download it to complete his 4 fight collection.

Thank you. The kid has anesthesia in both hands. BTW, who is the dancing lady in your sig?
