i like gamboa.....but donaire is special....

imo donaire should take it easy and not jump to 126 right ahead...fight rigo at 122 and fight a good fighter at 126 before gamboa, juanma or salido...just to test the waters

Rigo should be a good tune-up for Gamboa both have similar styles. Though getting a belt at 122 shouldn't break a sweat for Donaire, He should fight Rigo then Gamboa at 126. Then go back down to 122 for a 4th divisional title.

Rigo and Gamboa do not have similar styles. Guillermo is a counter-punching boxer extraordinaire. He's much more conventional than Gamboa. Yuri is a hyper-aggressive, athletic force-of-nature. Nonito would be saying something by beating "El Chacal," even with only eight or nine (by then) pro fights.

If he goes straight to 26 questions about carrying power and speed up in weight all he''ll have is his counter hook if he can't land that he'd be in trouble
Wouldn't lean towards Donaire even though he shows up big in his biggest fights still Gamboa is faster and brings pop in his punches that is already known plus with his comfort growing into the professional style of fighting hard to pick against

Gamboa will kill Donaire, Arum won't go for it because it would be messing up his money.

maybe so but after his scermish with donaire he might be in a vengeful mood and looking to get some pay back after all he always can drop back down in weight when he gets gone by Yuri

Will question his ability to hang at that weight he just doesn't seem to have the mass for feather

I would be just as excited for this fight as I would a May-Pac fight. These are the kind of fights that create big names, that develop superstar status, that make history. Donaire should take the challenge, and take the chance to become great. Its a big risk, but the reward is well worth it.

Gamboa would get sparked out in 1 round.

He is so aggro that he would get sparked out in the 1st by a counter left hook. Put to sleep worse than Juanma.

The only question would be what round would Gamboa be counted out and carried out.
