Boxing needs to align themselves with the FOX network!

I'm watching the Giants vs Redskins game right now, and they are promoting UFC hard! Every commercial break has advertisement for the upcoming UFC event along with banners at the bottom of the screen promotingg it. Now THIS is what you call promotion. NOT a 24/7 replay at midnight mid-week on CNN!

Yes and boxing has been with HBO and Showtime for how long now? What do they get? A pre-fight series on channels that you have to pay for and midnight reruns on stations like CNN.

Arum could get fights on CbS but he is too greedy. He's old and isn't going to take the time now to build the sport.

I dont know why he doesnt. He's maybe 3-5yrs away from a casket. At least lay the foundation for boxing back on prime time TV before you croke. He cant take all that money with him. At least do something positive for the sport as a whole.

Right. I'm just sayin why u see it on fox and why boxing wont be on fox since they committed to the ufc.

If boxing is going to be on a major network it would take an agreement of the top promoters of the sport, not a single promoter like top rank or golden boy they would all have to work together

I hate Dana White, but he and UFC are going about it the right way. They're promoting the fight during the NFL season. You know what gets the best ratings on Sundays?? Football does. A simple, meaningless preseason game will do more numbers than any even going on in the sports world.

Not only that, but they also have their 2 best heavyweights fighting on November 12 on Network TV. A card that could of easily been charged to us, but they aren't charging a single penny. While Top Rank drops the ball with CBS and it's horrible time slots to not have the Manny-Mosley or even Cotto-Mayorga fight on regular TV. They ****ed around and put both on PPV smh... Even Golden Boy could try something like this but for whatever reason, their 24/7 went to CNN. Both of these promotional companies have dropped the ball. It's a shame that an organization like UFC, being worse than boxing, is doing a better job of promoting it's product better than guys who have been in this business for decades.

UFC is no longer competing with boxing in America. It has long since destroyed boxing. It's competing with NASCAR and NHL now.

Dana White gave Bob Arum AIDS.
