Gamboa should move up with no problem.
His speed and skill would make the jump in weight easier.

      130-135-140- and yes 147

he's 5'4 and some change. Don't be ******. HE's never gon over 130 and you think he'd fight 6 foot welterweights? (Mike Jones, for example).

Bam Bam would hurt his feelings at 135. Garcia would hurt them at 126.

Lets see, Martinez fought Cintrón(who's taller than him) at 154lbs(which had been his natural weight threw out most of his carrer) & then went up to 160lbs to fight Williams & Pavlik(who are way bigger than him) & then fought Williams again(scoring a brutal KO against a bigger guy) & then fought Serhiy Dzinziruk(at 160lbs) who's taller than Martinez & just like Martinez came up from 154lbs & Martinez knocked him out..So u are right, Martinez hasn't been fighting guys his own size, they are actually BIGGER!!!

At the same time Ponce was the third Mexican former world champion Gamboa has beaten in a row (after Orlando Salido and Jorge Solis).

by mentioning Floyd or Pac's name. "I want Pacquiao!" "Pac
is next!" You can always deny it later.
That's all it is. Anyone with half a brain knows this fight is impossible to make for obvious reasons. Gamboa just fought at a 127lb catchweight and it doesn't look like he puts on that much water weight after the weigh in. When Pac was a featherweight, he was coming into the ring at 145 lbs, he comes into the ring at 148 these days. Net gain of a whopping 3 lbs. He just doesn't drain himself anymore.

Don't think Gamboa adds 15-20 lbs overnight, could be wrong though. What was his in ring weight last night?

But yeah, everyone and their grandmother says they want Manny next during their post fight. best way to get your name in the papers and get people talking about you... even if you have no real intention of fighting him

Gamboa was 138; Ponce was 137.

Going up to 130 makes a Donaire match up pretty unlikely.
