Tell me what Mikey has over Yuriorkis. Accomplishments? No. Ability? No. The only thing one can make an argument for is that Garcia appears more disciplined in the ring than Gamboa...and maybe he has a better trainer. That makes Mikey better than Yuri? It seems to me that the one being hyped here is Mikey Garcia.
You trolling hard today, panties in a bunch?

You call this trolling, but your reply to my logical post isn't? What do you have to say about your boy Mikey that's so compelling, since you decided to come in here and throw stones?

Of course imma pick Mikey, not only cause one faves, but his style would cause some trouble for Gamboa, I actually think he's more precise than Gamboa.

        What you think?
Didn't mikey turn down a gamboa fight twice because he said he "wasn't ready"?

I didn't come in ****, I started this thread. You don't see me putting Mikey on a pedestal the way you're putting Gamboa on one. You talking all this nonsense as if he's gone through different division.

I've watched Gamboa get dropped several times, by lesser opposition on ESPN. I've yet to see Mikey get dropped by lesser opposition.

I get why Gamboa moves around and it's not because he's quick, its so that chin won't get tapped, I realize that, I'm surprised you haven't.

I don't see Gamboa fighting Garcia

unless he gets Donaire he will move up to 130 and 135

After his last two fights, he's had interviews saying he wanted all the champions. He might not have been ready then, but he sure as hell is ready now.

Plus it doesn't help that Bob is stuck on this Gamboa vs JuanMa fight.

not sure I see anything wrong with that. If he felt he wasn't ready for the elite fighters in his division then what's the rush? Cotto was groomed slowly and IMO has sustained a nice long career that way

How did Garcia get so overrated on these boards?

I haven't rated him too high as a prospect ever since the kid got outboxed from lateral movement and counter punching from an opponent with like a 9-7 record. He had to wait until the guy slowed down to get his offense going.

Not sure how the fight would go, but Gamboa would win...

mikey is no joke... it will be close. i favor gamboa, based on talent level & physical gifts. plus, potential star power.

mikey is pretty low key. i wouldnt consider him a star... kinda like chad dawson, skills but no charisma.
