    He wont be able to just muscle floyd that doesnt work, and neither does lunging in without jabs.
    I mean it's like he's gonna outbox Floyd, he's gonna have to try to out muscle Floyd and try to hit anything and grind out a decision if not hurt and stop Floyd. Of course there's a big possibility that plan will back fire on him but it's his only shot.

      * high intensity training

      * obviously highly motivated

      CONS

      *very poor footwork in sparring

      * Inaccurate punching (punching for impact, not accuracy)

      * While I believe he is training very intensely, I don't think he understands how good Floyd really is.

      FLOYD

      PROS

      * INTENSE training

      * Usual attention to ACCURATE punching

      * A focus on inside fighting (hard body shots)

      CONS

      * Leeches and parasites that surround him ( aside from uncle, Ellerbe, sparring partners, kids,50 cent) .

      * Dietary habits and sleep patterns are no good especially for an aging fighter.
      so your trying to say you know more about boxing than he does? is that why he has the WBC strap and your critiqueing him? he knows how good that dude is and if he losses he losses its a boxing match. 1 winner , 1 loser. plain and simple

        Good point, I think Ortiz does know just how good Floyd is he's just trying to hype himself up and talk with confidence. What is he suppose to say, "Floyd is an amazing fighter who will never be beat"?

          i give ortiz a big chance to win this fight. people will say oh he isnt as technical as floyd. but who is? was JLC the greatest technical fighter when he fought floyd? no he stood there and threw down and out ****** him. ortiz is young, fast, power which floyd hasnt seen in such a long time. he is in there against a bigger guy not some small church mouse like marquez or hatton. or old man mosley.

              Can Ortiz land cleanly?

              Will Mayweather be able to stand up to Ortiz's power?

              One punch can change a fight, so can one mistake.

                MAn Ortiz is young and all but lets not pretend thats the reason floyd chose him. im gonna tell you why floyd choose either a young former LWW , 1 fight removed from his career weight and an HBO protected Berto. he wants an easy payday. As long as fans are paying him to fight his cherry picks he wont fight them real challenges. believe me.

                  Floyd is now the same age Oscar was when Oscar faced Floyd...he is also as inactive as Oscar had become. He is not the same Floyd he used to be. Ortiz eventually lands hard on everyone and Floyd no longer has the foot speed to avoid it like he used to. I think this will be a different type of fight for him. I'm looking forward to seeing how it plays out and if Ortiz can wear him down. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Floyd gets caught with something and gets thrown off his game.

                    As most around here Ive seen plenty of footage of Mayweather training and to me he looks smaller than usual and just not as physically hardened or intense as I have seen in the past. I have to wonder with the long layoff and everything going on outside of the ring, will this be the first misstep of Floyd's career?

                    Combine that with the simple fact that Ortiz is a young, strong, fast southpaw who seems to be absolutely brimming with confidence and determination will this at the very least be a tough fight for Floyd?

                    I'll go out on a limb here and say yes. In fact I think this could be the first fight we see Floyd roughed up and shook. I dont know if Ortiz can actually stay with Floyd through the whole fight but I think he will make him earn his money this time.

                      mayweather had a different style back then, he is a better inside fighter, now
                      doesn't move as much. he is physically more stronger and probably sits down on more of his punches.
