nope it was 150k... way too much hearsay on forums and stuff

for that money you just have to be ****** to take your undefeated record and put your career on the line goin into your opponents backyard in Mexico and fighting on his promoters card. It makes plenty of sense.

Vanes's own manager said Vanes turned down a good deal with ideal circumstances. So much so, that he parted ways with Vanes.

manager parting with him had nothin to do with this fight... that was in the works for a while now.

Vanes' uncle has always been his first manager and advisor and now finally on paper as his official manager also.

I think it would do well at Home Depot Center's tennis arena.

To appease Vanes, they let him fight for the Silver belt. Vanes won the belt so he was again set to fight Alvarez. Then they ordered Vanes to fight Angulo in another eliminator. We said okay again and then they said that it would have to be in Mexico. We would have agreed but to top it off, they offered just a little more money to Vanes than what he got when he fought Joe Greene in New York so we had to say no.”

The Glendale, CA based fighter’s uncle believes that the proposed Martirosyan-Angulo eliminator was a setup from the beginning. He feels that it is just a way for Golden Boy to protect Alvarez from the top contenders in the division and that they were fully aware that Martirosyan would not be able to accept the terms of the fight.
