Despite the huge size of some of the bigger heavyweights, a skilled powerful fighter with speed could decimate a lot of the big plodders. I always found it strange that being heavyweight seemed like a licence to turn certain fighters into eating machines.
Prime Tyson was flooring plenty of far bigger men. Toney is carrying excess bulk and would IMO be a far better fighter if his weight were less and stamina thusly higher. Byrd has done OK.
In fact Tyson got lesser as his size crept higher. His early training regimes were based on speed, stamina and skill. I am certain he relied on weights in his later career. His weight was certainly far higher.

            No.

And I only say this because that division would be riddled with clinchfests and ballroom dancing contests if enacted. There is enough Sumo on television for anyones health anyways.

All that would happen would be that casual sports fans would ignore all but the super heavy division, which would be full of fat guys, making the sport seem like more of a joke than it already is (seeing as now all they do is focus on the heavies).

Also there would be only like 10 ppl in it... and only 3 fights worth watching.

I guess that would make Toney a super-heavyweight very very soon ;-)

EDIT: Wlad is only a few LB over
Will people ever stop picking on the poor guy
