I don't know why that poster thinks it was controversial but it was confusing that Cortez took a point away from Maidana for throwing a elbow which missed Khan and tapped Cortez on the chest. He just took a point away, no warning. That was just ******. Worst high profile ref in boxing. Mayweather-Ortiz could already be ruined and it hasn't even happened.

The controversy stems from the fact that if Con werent promoting the card, therefore paying Cortez, that fight would've been stopped in the 10th round. Con was out on his feet, any other figt and that would've been a TKO for Maidana. No way a fighter is that hurt for that long and the ref let's it go.

The way to straighten out this whole thing is for Vargas to fight Morales!!!! Maidana is acting like a beeyatch, Bradley is going throught whatever so Vargas should fight Morales and the winner fight Khan. Their both fighting on the same card any way.

yeah i agree and it aint the first time cortez has done some very dodgy refing, or the first time we seen unusal refing in a khan fight which heavily favours Khan,

somebody give me the exact time in the 10th that the fight should have been stopped... please. you kuthay keep bringing up old ass fights, khan/prescott happened 3 yrs ago, not one boxing analyst/expert disagreed with the outcome of khan/maidana. you guys are the only herbs actually asking for a boxing fight to end earlier than 12 rounds. if u ever find urself saying "i think they should have ended this extremely exciting possible fight of the year bout earlier than the scheduled 12" then u my friend are a hater.
