Will he face adversity? Maybe. All of Ortiz's opponents have at some point or another, especially early...

And that's what worries me, but then I think, "If people like Maidana and Peterson were able to weather the storm and make Ortiz look bad, why can't Mayweather."

The two x-factors going in are the following:

"Will age finally affect Mayweather?"

and

"Will the extra weight Ortiz seems to be comfortable at finally allow him to fight for a full 12 rounds without showing stamina deficiency (like in the Peterson fight)?"

Does Ortiz have a chance? Of course. He doesn't have Marquez's fighting skills, but he definitely has the PHYSICAL tools to make a fight. He's bigger, explosive, riled up by the criticism in the media, and he's a southpaw. That last one alone should count for something.

But when it comes down to it, these are all factors that Mayweather has dealt with before, so it should be no surprise if he beats Ortiz.
