RING Belt is the most respected because the RING Organization recognizes their CHAMPS based on who beats who. In short by performance. Money? Of course Ring earns out of it but not by sanctioning fees. Not by HYPES and manipulation but by promoting on the BEST who have the BALLS to prove what comes out of their mouths.

exactly. which is why antonio tarver may not have any title, but since hes beaten the best, hes the ring champ of the LHW division.

        they know boxing.

I get it I get it....but do they understand who is hot and who is not?

          this is a retarted post.

in their opinion Hopkins won but he technically lost so they have to respect that.

Imagine if they thought Tito won against Winky and they ignored the judges decision and ranked Tito #2 Middleweight of the world it would be ******.

Ok.....so whoever said Ring is "the most reliable source" for rankings is wrong in my opinion. I actually think it might be the worst.

That magazine is purely based on public approval of fighters and not necessarily expert opinion.

              Case and Point:

Their ratings of Vitali Klitschko as the best heavyweight....and their past rankings of Arturo Gatti and other "name" fighters.

              I just dont buy it.

Boxrec sucks....but I actually think their statistical system is more reliable for rankings, and that should tell you how bad ring really is.

Buy it...It is by far the most legit ramkings out with the exception of the "Fans" point of view which is usually more biased....Overall the ring has the most legit and fair rankings overall.

I would hazard to guess their rankings are based on polls.

Think about it......you can't possibly argue more with The rings rankings vs another out there name one and your reason if so.

I cant argue with that. I really dont listen to any magazine or affiliation's rankings. Even this site.

It doesnt matter what I read or see, I will always find a problem with it.

And like I stated earlier, Boxrec's statistical formula for calculating rankings is equally as reliable as fan based approval.

Half the people that write for ring have a bias.....and that is undeniable. Boxing could not be here without it.
