If eny1 had been a hardcoreboxing fan for 100 years then calzaghe wouldnt make top 200 but as we have hardly seen most of the best eras in boxing and from the fighters we have seen he is top 50 but i know he shouldnt be no where near as close as he is but from what i have seen as fighters top 50.Us as boxing fans should never try ranking atg ourselves as we havnt even lived in the eras of the greats if we had we would have been able to have seen all the good, great and legend fighters from every era and then make our own top 100 atg list.

And that's nothing bad, it be in the top 100 or even 200 boxers ever?
        That's great.

think about how many boxers there have been, **** top 300 is not too shabby

Only the very top guys had 5-6 losses or so. Like Ezzard Charles for example.
Wow, Louis as low as #4? Thats shocking. Almost everyone puts him at #1 or 2. Who do you have above him?

and having a 'pretty' looking record doesnt make you a good fighter. Someone like Freddie Pendleton for example with his 26 losses was still way better than someone like Deontay Wilder, whos 18-0 with 18 KOs.

            Calzaghe top 20 ATG?

            SMH and sadly too!

He was a good fighter who could do a bit of everything but cmon man, are you serious? Top 20? You gotta be ****ing kidding me. I honestly think that any boxing historian who isnt from the UK would laugh at you out loud and probably point at you too while laughing.

Calzaghe being in the top 20 is as ridiculous as other idiots trying to convince me that Floyd and Pac are better than Sugar Ray Robinson.

Top 100 ATG. Not top 20, his record isnt good enough to be top 20. I've always said though - it wasn't Joe's fault, he could only beat who was put in front of him, traditionally has never really been that strong, until recently that is.
yeah but they kept putting bums in front of him on purpose to protect him. "i don't want tough fights. i just fight for money." actual joe calzaghe quote. the guy wanted no part of any good fighters until he took a couple calculated risks at the end of his career.

his own promoter said calzaghe only wanted easy fights. joe said jones was too good for him. he pretended like hopkins was ducking him but in court testimony warren said the fight was going to take place in wales and calzaghe would make more than hopkins. obviously not a realistic deal. he ducked pavlik and dawson to fight shot jones jr. he even ducked glen johnson 3 times.

calzaghe was gifted tons of outrageous stoppages and was gifted against reid and hopkins so it's pretty equal. both guys were illegitimate. it's fitting they both ended their careers with 21 title defenses. equal all the way.

Yes being white from the uk probably did knock him down a few places. The klitschko' are having the same problem now,if they where african american they would be high on the atg list
