Wow. He turned it down? I thought he was supposed to be some kind of Armenian bad ass. He always does a lot of yabbering, but I guess he's really not as confident as he thinks he is. I wonder if he made that decision alone, or did Freddie Roach have a hand in it? I know that Roach's matchmaking process finds his fighters staying far away from dangerous opponents. Take Pacquiao for instance. He's been P4P (which is a joke) since 2008, and this is the first time he's fought someone coming off of a KO victory. JMM's fight with Likar Ramos was a farce. His legit KO came against Katsidis. My man Floyd Mayweather has been fighting guys who have won their last fight by KO or by thorough dominance.

December fight date is more like it, but just because Eric Gomez says jump doesn't mean vanes has to jump...Now who in their right mind would accept a fight perro without the proper training camp and preparation...
I wish Gomez would say how much they offered vanes? Gut tells me what they refer to "as the highest pay day" is far less than a fight like that would demand... If he does disclose the amount then maybe a bunch of u might change your tune...
Anyway well wait and see what happens when the purse bid is ordered which means the winner of the purse will have to split the payout 50-50... Surely golden boy isn't offering 50/50 kind of money to vanes now
Im not going to go on after Vanes because I don't know the deal behind the scenes.

I will say this though, when it comes to boxing, Cancun is a shady ass place.

All the Cancun fights over the last few years have had some strange circumstances and conspiracies surrounding them.

It seems Vanes is one of those people that wanna protect and polish their unbeaten record against second rate fighters. Not good.

              neutral officiating????? no mames

just wondering if gomez is reffering to RUSSEL el mamon MORA when he says neutral officiating... if GOLDEN BOY can pull that off in front of Nevada state commission imagine the neutrality Vanes is gonna get in Quintana Roo.... a la vargas carbones... Golden boy should get that colombian guy that got knocked out in july vs Juanma Marquez in 1st round to fight El Perrito...

Vanes isn't in a position to be picky. He should have taken this fight and the career high payday.
