you're too close to the situation. angulo has the heart of a lion. angulo would also have a shortened training camp with a relatively new trainer. angulo would gladly take those conditions and run through vanes to get his shot at canelo.

floyd did fight without his uncle. angulo recently got a new trainer after a layoff. sergio also had a fight where he did not have his trainer in his corner due to legal issues.

to make those comparisons is to say that angulo is naturally a better fighter than vanes, which i think he is, and that vanes has a slim chance without roach.

he responds too much with verbal bravado. i want some talking in the ring. i know vanes can't possibly be trying to protect his '0'. he's not even a world-class fighter...yet...if ever.

1. Angulo was asked to move up in weight and fight the best p4p fighter in the world. He thought he should get more money for what they were asking him to do. He asked for more money and things fell through.

2. At that same exact time. He was having Promotional problems because his then promoter would not confirm his immigration status. He had to handle his VISA issue interdependently. He had alot on his mind.

3. Vanes said he would go to mexico and fight angulo. He got an HBO headlining date. He would of got the biggest pay day of his career (OR DOES SOLO BOXEO and ESPN PAY MORE THEN HBO?) He had neutral judges. A tittle shot if he won, and it would be against another Mexican Superstar in Canelo. No excuse on Vanes part for not taking the fight vs ANGULO.

4.Can't blame ppl here for posting what their posting. The facts are their and we have yet to hear from Vanes. His silence indicates he did not want to fight....

How can you sit there and make excuses for this dude, common' he did the same with Lara remember ? Vanes is a cool dude in person but he gets carried away talking smack to the media. He deserves alil crap back at him for this.

I do agree with 1000% with the latter portion of your comment. Vanes deserves the crap because be hasn't handled himself professionally... He has talked way too much smack and when something like this happens it bites u in the ass. With that said my intention hasn't been to make excuses for him and I haven't. All I've done is inform people here the real situation with vanes. He is not ducking Angulo, but currently there is a lot stuff that's happening behind closed doors and that's why this fight is being turned down for NOW... I totally understand the reaction because vanes has put himself in this situation by talking too much smack... Remember this post and my comments. Within a short amount time you will hear vanes side to this story... It can't be made now because time is needed to work on things behind closed door before an officiL response can be made and it will. I wish people would at least give themselves spittle bit of time to hear vanes side before overreacting... I'm not his pr or family, but I'm close to the situation and am making informed comments...
