I just hope Floyd doesn´t bring a bike to the ring, I want to see a fight.

Btw Arnaoutis was also on the move when Ortíz caught him, unlike other boxers Ortíz has the power to hurt defensive rivals.

You guys have to realize, toe to toe for Mayweather is standing in front of his opponent teeing off on him while avoiding getting hit. A lot of you are picturing some kind of Gatti-Ward, Vazquez-Marquez type of toe to toe battle and that's not what you're gonna get. So don't get your hopes up, Floyd is not a dumb fighter like that, to go toe to toe without using his defense at the same time.
Marquez and Vazquez are dumb fighters? They're not Mayweather but certainly they are not dumb, as illustrated in their fights.

I don't know about Floyd boxing cautiously for 4 or 5 rounds. Sure, Ortiz presents power and youth; but what can he do? He can't do **** to Mayweather that Mayweather doesn't want to be done. I'd be surprised if Mayweather didn't have his as.s ready to quit by the 6th round. We will see.

I concur. This is Floyd stage all night long come fight night.

Ortiz match-up is a fraud. Berto was overhyped!

OK every man has a chance but Ortiz only has a chance if Floyd gets injured.

There is no way Ortiz can hit Floyd like he does to guys he looks good with.

Watch Ortiz get hit with a straight right all night long.

The guy actually comes across very ****** and naive the mroe I hear of him. I want him to get tko'd.

After watching more of Ortiz, he is a fairly basic boxer. Whewn he comes, you know what to expect, and he doesn;t have many angles, or spectacular speed either.

The Maidana fight showed him at his worse, he coudln't take getting hit. He was young and quit. This fight did show me he was vulnerable, and rumours have it that Ortiz doesn't like getting hit at all (I will go onto the Berto fight soon).

After that fight, I saw a come back fight at 142 or 144, where he looked OK, and a Perterson fight where he did impress me early on. However, even though I felt he won, it showed me that if you move around, Ortiz's main strength, his power is nullified.

This is where I do not really hold the Berto fight well for him VS Floyd. Floyd firstly is smart, very smart and will move around. Even if he decides to stabnd to toe toe, he has great eyes and wll read Ortiz, block him and counter that fast straight right all day long to earn the rounds. Ortiz needs you to stand toe to toe, like Berto did, who I would say had no legs to move around and his defense is shakey. If you stand there, then Ortiz would have a good chance to win, but no way can he KO Floyd who has a great chin.

Ortiz will never win more than 3 rounds. He simply isn't sensational in any area.

                Floyd UD. Easy fight.
While he is the unlikely winner you can never discount the guy.
Ortiz has floored all his opponents and mainly very early during the fight. On the other hand Mayweather is normally a late starter.Marquez landed a clean shot early when he fought Floyd and so did Mosley & Judah. This is not very good because while Mayweather's still trying to feel the ring,Ortiz could land a good shot and do some damage.

If you remember when Felix Trinidad fought Whittaker,he hurt Whittaker early and that changed the fight. From that point Whittaker couldnt move as he normally does and so Trinidad was able to land all his big shots. When a fighter is hurt his defence goes and it doesnt matter who especially this late in Mayweather's career.

Ortiz's best chances are very early, his down point however is that it's possible Ortiz's power is overated.Ever since he moved up,he dropped Maidana who was able to come back and Peterson was able to come back and even Berto.Maybe Ortiz's not a knockout artist.

Do I expect him to win?No but he could do a few shocking things or he will be totally embarassed

I expect this fight to be more or less like Mayweather-Hatton. Ortiz is a bit faster than Hatton, but he comes right at you. When Mayweather fought Hatton, he would hold and grab Hatton anytime that he got close to Floyd. Now, Ortiz won't try and wrestle with Floyd like Hatton did, but I expect Mayweather to hold a lot in this fight. Straight right hands and jabs, and than hold when Victor gets in close. Here's my prediction for the fight.

Round 1: Floyd shows some ring rust and may hesitate a bit in poening up too much. I don't think Victor is going to come out swinging wildly out the gate, but I may be wrong. I think both are going to feel each other out the first round, with Voctor landing slightly more. 10-9 Ortiz.

Round 2: I think Floyd remains to take it easy in this round, not opening up too much. Just be defensive and still trying to get his feel for Ortiz and what he can do. I think Ortiz tries to open in up big, and I think he lands a few hard shots on Mayweather. Meanwhile, Mayweather will hold and ease his way to make it through the round. 20-18 Ortiz.

Round 3: Floyd will open it up more after being hurt in the 2nd, but Victor will be gunning hard to hurt him again. I think they may trade a little bit, and Floyd CAN take a punch. I still think Victor may land the harder punches. 30-27 Ortiz.

Rounds 4-8: Floyd, like he did with Judah, will figure out what he can and can't do against Ortiz. He will also figure out what Ortiz can't do against him. I think he stops trying to walk him down like he did with Mosley, and he moves more. Straight right hands and jabs, hold. Ortiz may get some shots in, but he will become frustrated with his lack of ability to hurt Mayweather again. I think these rounds go 4-0-1 in favor of Floyd. 77-76 Mayweather.

Rounds 9-11: I think Ortiz may begin to tire a bit, much like he did against Berto late in the fight. The only reason Berto didn't exploit this is because Berto was COMPLETELY gassed by this point. Thus, they traded shots and Ortiz wasn't quite as gone as Berto was. Mayweather is ALWAYS in tip top shape and will NOT tire. He begins to opne it up more on Ortiz, maybe even throwing more combinations. I think in round 11 he knocks Ortiz down with a quick check hook that Ortiz won't see coming, but Ortiz will get up around 6 or 7. However, I think Mayweather wants to make a statement (like he did with Hatton) and he will move in for the kill. Ortiz was hurt pretty bad against Berto in round 6, but wasn't as tired as he will be at this point. I don't think Ortiz will be able to come back like he did with Berto, and I think the ref stops the fight late in the 11th round.

Mayweather by TKO 11. Scorecards at the time of stoppage: 97-94 Mayweather.

Ortiz has a good shot, and he is in his prime coming off wins. But, I think Mayweather will ultimately take his best shots, and brake him down for the TKO. Mayweather wants to make a statement, and he said he can guarantee that the fight will not go 12 rounds. I think it ends up a bit like Mayweather-Hatton did.

I give Ortiz a shot to win. I am pulling for him and I don't think Floyd has been in with anyone that can hit like Ortiz. Floyd probably wins easy, but youth favors Ortiz and Floyd hasn't fought a young guy in quite some time. Ortiz has nothing to loose so he takes some chances guys like Marquez, Hatton, DeLaHoya, and Mosely didn't take. I think it will be entertaining while is lasts.

I still don't think Ortiz can win.
