Ortiz has no chance, my prediction!

Whether Maywetaher chooses to go toe to toe or not, which I don't believe he will do so, Ortiz simply has no chance.

After watching more of Ortiz, he is a fairly basic boxer. Whewn he comes, you know what to expect, and he doesn;t have many angles, or spectacular speed either.

The Maidana fight showed him at his worse, he coudln't take getting hit. He was young and quit. This fight did show me he was vulnerable, and rumours have it that Ortiz doesn't like getting hit at all (I will go onto the Berto fight soon).

After that fight, I saw a come back fight at 142 or 144, where he looked OK, and a Perterson fight where he did impress me early on. However, even though I felt he won, it showed me that if you move around, Ortiz's main strength, his power is nullified.

This is where I do not really hold the Berto fight well for him VS Floyd. Floyd firstly is smart, very smart and will move around. Even if he decides to stabnd to toe toe, he has great eyes and wll read Ortiz, block him and counter that fast straight right all day long to earn the rounds. Ortiz needs you to stand toe to toe, like Berto did, who I would say had no legs to move around and his defense is shakey. If you stand there, then Ortiz would have a good chance to win, but no way can he KO Floyd who has a great chin.

Ortiz will never win more than 3 rounds. He simply isn't sensational in any area.

    Floyd UD. Easy fight.

I'm a big Ortiz fan (Mayweather fan also) and the more the fight gets closer, I also feel the same way. After seeing Floyd beat up Mosley, and I think Floyd will fight very similar to this, Floyd is just going to be too much and attacking him at will. Lead right hands and shots to the body will find their mark all night.

I think Ortiz's only chance is in the early rounds which may look competitive and he may be able to stun or drop Mayweather, but usually when you see a fighter only has a punchers chance, he ain't gonna win.

Agreed. Ortiz requires you to be stationary. He also has no jab to keep floyd at bay. If he throws a sluggish jab a pull counter is almost a guarantee. Ortiz's only hope is ring rust for Floyd and his south paw stance.

Seems not so much chance fir Ortiz so therefore a lack of interest.

Pacquiao vs JMM is similar to me although JMM has had Pacquiao's number in keeping it close, I don't feel he can handle Oacquiao now. Jmm had to war with just Diaz who is puffy, and if he does the same wih pacquiao then I truly believe he gets stopped.

Mayweather will go toe to toe but not right off the bat. He will go through a feeling out process first, which will take several rounds. He will box cautiously during these rounds. Then he will pick it up in the 4th or 5th round. But who knows, maybe he Gatti's Ortiz from the get go.

You guys have to realize, toe to toe for Mayweather is standing in front of his opponent teeing off on him while avoiding getting hit. A lot of you are picturing some kind of Gatti-Ward, Vazquez-Marquez type of toe to toe battle and that's not what you're gonna get. So don't get your hopes up, Floyd is not a dumb fighter like that, to go toe to toe without using his defense at the same time.

Every time floyd fights we go through the same ****.

he chooses a guy who looked really good in his previous bout, and suddenly, some people end up thinking that _____ fighter has what it takes to beat floyd.

and this is where some of the fanboys have a complaint to make.

the same people who try to **** on his resume, almost always assume he'll lose his next fight because the fighter he's fighting still has that "previous fight" shine.

you fall for the same **** every time. unless floyd got old over night, he's going to dominate ortiz. as much as i like vic, he's not on may's level. end of story.
