    When i first saw Chavez he look to me like a young Duran. Moved his head just enough in a foward march to avoid punches. Waist and head movement was very smooth. Chavez had the ability to box if he ever choose to do it

      very good video. Its extremely irritating when people claim that Chavez was some kind of face first plodder, who won his fights only through being tough.

      reality is the guy was incredibly skilled, maintaining defense while moving forward and in the pocket is one of the most difficult things to do, and his footwork and ability to cut off the ring is arguably the best in the history of boxing.


      slower, methodic boxers like Chavez always seem to get underrated skill wise, just because theyre not really fast or flashy, when in reality you need a lot of skill to compensate when you dont have that speed.
