Yeah he looks slick and whatnot but he doesn't have that exciting factor.. he can't even finish a mediocre opponent just imagine when the level of competition steps up. I won't ever watch one of his fights again.. only watched it because I'd never seen him before.
Your are one dum mother fcker. Stuck to sucking pacs ****. He is exiting as hell his combos are great his speed his defence he does It all perfect. Arum sees the skills and since he is not promoting him he is buthurt.

The young boy Gary ain't that bad. My only problem is he backed off the guy in the last few rounds. He goes hard to the body. Got quick hands. Better defence tba he'll get credit 4. He ain't ready for gamboa but he ain't trash

Gary Russell is still green. He has A++ hand speed and C level footwork.
He will get tagged because of his poor footwork if he steps up in class too quickly. Fights flat footed and points his front foot to the left. If not corrected will deter him from reaching the World Class level by detracting power, counter punching ability and escaping punches.
He missed a ton of opportunities vs Miranda last time out to put him away because of his footwork.

Maybe, maybe not. Time will tell. From what I've seen so far, Gary has: absolutely blinding hand-speed; goes to the head and body equally well; puts together multiple punch combinations with great speed and coordination; has a very solid skill-set, especially for such a young fighter; and is able to defend well, even in the pocket.

On the other side of the ledger: Russell is too stationary; likes to walk his opponents down (not necessarily a bad thing, just not suited to his abilities, IMO); has respectable, but not impressive, punching power; and gets hit surprisingly often for a guy with his skills and abilities.
