He wasn't very good for the sport of boxing. I don't think it was actually him that was corrupt, but there was a lot of corruption surrounding him. (He could sell 25,000 seats and 19 million tv viewers in Germany EVERYTIME he fought).

Obviously, when he's generating that kind of money for people... They are gonna do everything in their power to insure Ottke holds onto those belts!

He was a boring fighter, his career ended at: - 34-0-0 (6 ko's), that just about explains how exciting he was to watch.
