Comments Thread For: Pacquiao Admits Politics May End Boxing Run in 2013

Manny Pacquiao provided a window into his thinking on the topic of retirement on Tuesday when he said he’s contemplating running for Governor in 2013 of the Sarangani province in the Philippines, where he is currently serving as a congressman, and that the task of holding such an office while also focusing on boxing would be too much to handle, even for a multi-tasker such as Pacquiao. If that's true, should be a Pac-Mayweather fight in the 1st half of 2013 and the 2nd half for a rematch (assuming a clause in the contract). Not expecting it to go without drama. Floyd may already be preoccupied for 2012 if things work out with Khan.

Bob will allow the fight to happen now that Pac is setting a deadline. ol' Bob will milk the Pac one last time before feeding him to Floyd. I said this YEARS ago.

After the Ortiz-Floyd fight, Floyd will go on vacation for 2 years while he spends his money investing in bedroom upgrades on boats, and then will come back the day after ******* retires and starts saying his name

Both Floyd and Manny should leave boxing if all they ever do is think about retiring.

PACQUIAO doesn't need PBF,that's the truth!!!
PACQUIAO has a brillant future ahead on him because he will become president,he is more than a GOD in the Philippines....i don't see exactly the same future for PBF,sorry but the lifestyle of PBF will ruin him in the future because he isn't smart and with charisma of OSCAR;it's better PBF will fight this MEGA FIGHT before MANNY will ruin his plans going into retirment!!!

Why wait till 2013? Retire now along with May, and the boxing world can finally move on from all the bull shiet drama. Not only that this could also cause a heart attack to Arum and then we can really celebrate the sport. Then boxing can have a governing body to overlook all weight classes, cut some weight classes indef. That would be perfect.

lmao Pac says Floyd doesn't matter

Pac is already chillin with Carlos Slim and *****

The only bad thing is Pacquiao still hasn't even reached his prime yet and he will still have tons of potential in 2013 as a boxer
