      • Didn't finish the article, yet, but Floyd does NOT i repeat does NOT represent this country. That is one of the reasons why most of the world hates Americans. We're not all pretentious assh*les. Now back to the article...I can't stand how Floyd is saying an athlete can't develop past a certain age. NOT TRUE, look at Sergio he didn't even start boxing until he was 21 now he's one of the top P4P in the world. Floyd is an amazing boxer and defensive fighter, no question about that, I am not a fan however of his antics and how he treats the public, and the boxing world.

Well that could be. It is a known fact that 4 persons seeing the same thing will swear in court to 4 different things. I suppose it all comes down to what his understanding is, of what they are talking about. BUT.......as well as he saying that there was no more problem about the test, that he was willing to take the tests, his promoter Arum, who certainly understands just about EVERYTHING, nuances and all, has been saying the same thing, to the reporters, to the TV interviewers, to everybody.

And we can't overlook the fact that Mayweather lied about negotiations going on, to such a degree that Arum had to appeal to Greenburg, the HBO CEO to confirm that it was he, Greenburg, who was the go between, and that negotiations WERE going on. Before Greenburg's assertion, Top Rank, and Arum especially, came in for a truckload of garbage accusations of the usual kind, totally undeserved, which nobody except myself pointed out.

THAT alone is a big problem if anyone is trying to show (not even prove) Mayweather is correct. It just can't be done. The preponderance of solid evidence is against it.

            • Say it aint so?
-"there is no more issue". So does the majority of the boxing community say "Finally, thank you Mr. Pac"?
Not so fast boxing fans! As Pac is now saying money split may be an issue?

"What we need to be done is the sharing, profit sharing, and also the guaranteed purse of both of us" states Manny Pacquaio on yesterday's ESPN interview. What issues is not clear? When Mayweather agreed to the $10 million dollar per pound weight penalty, he also agreed to the 50/50 split of the purse. What more issues is there? Is Pac now saying testing is no issue but is setting another road block to postpone the fight? Its not like the lawsuit is an expressway either. Maybe a detour, but by no means is that helping to get to the final destination.

Dollars make sense: So does a bag of cash.....
-Waiting to hear back from Ortiz and Hoya to back there confidence up with that $5 million bet. Should Floyd use that money to fly Mr. Pac (1st class of course) over to Vegas and confront him (the business savvy congressman) with a contract to sign and a bag full of money. De La Hoya knows what I'm talking about. Wink wink... Get'er done, as Bob's in no hurry.

              Battle of PPV:
              Be honest folks, who do you think sells more;
              Mayweather vs Ortiz
              Pac vs JMM III

              USTEAM vs SKYPE
-In other news, yesterday's "lite" workout by Mayweather was at the very least, entertaining. Standing by to hear from Pac's team wanting to "outdue" Mayweather by setting up a SKYPE session in the courtroom. That's what legends in the ring do, is what Bob Arum will state. Can't wait for this one!

              The questions:
Are we getting closer to the match we all have been waiting for? After 2 years, Pac finally agrees to testing. Assuming this to be true one would also have to assume that the USADA is not biased anymore? So is money the big concern now since Pac himself is having personal issues with money? Have the tides turned on boxings hero? Not to long ago the boxing community questioned Mayweather's money business. Has the shoe been placed on the other foot? Is money being used by Team Pac to set another road block? These where questions directed towards Mayweather some time back. The picture is becoming epically clear!

I don't know what the American Courts would require, but it may be that first it may need to be accepted in the Courts that there is no validity to the accusation. This being done, then the matter will have shifted (from whether or not a steroid use was or was not,) but now revolves around whether the unproven accusation itself has caused monetary damage, and if so, how much.

If it can be shown that he in fact is/was a steroid user whose PERFORMANCES were enhanced by the use thereof, then, this being illegal in sports, shouldnot allow MannyP to profit from an illegality. Therefore Mayweather might well win acquittal.

It's been amply proven in the cases of several famous sports figures, like Barry Bonds etc, that they used illegal drugs, yet they were not penalised having to return all the (estimated) extra money theymade from illegality. If the authorities followed through as they might have done, they could have had a team of assessors going into an (estimated)
%age of Bonds' earnings which were deemed to have come from his illegal actions.

Generally the truth is a good defence against libel and slander, but I don't exactly know what differences there are, IF ANY, in U.S. Law between defamation, and libel/slander. I think that Mayweather or anyone, would have a tough time PROVING that MannyP was on drugs without documentary proof. An "Evan Fields" kind of document.

I don't give a **** what it means in court. You said that him saying he agrees obviously means he's agreed to the testing in question. It hasn't. End of story.

                    • And it seems to me, both from the baseball, track and field and boxing point of view, no Federal nor State action ever seem to be taken against offenders. The actions are taken by the local Sports Commissions.

Except in the case of Marion Jones et al. I think she was convicted of lying to Government Agents.(correction please)
