Your thread asks for one fighter, and then you name 10 of them? Which is it?
Favorite Fighter: Bernard Hopkins (the avatar says it all)
2. Wlad Klitschko
3. Floyd Mayweather
4. Vitali K.
5. Allan Green ( I still hope he wins a Belt at some point, major disappointment)
6. Manny Pacquiao
7. Andre Ward
8. Carl Froch (pretty much don't care strongly on who wins, although I'm favoring Ward). But I like them both.
9. Tim Bradley
10. Eddie Chambers
Note: I got plenty of favorite fighters that I like, but not all of them that I am attached or invested in winning every time they fight. I.E. Glen Johnson, I hope he beats Bute but if not, oh well. I'm more of a fan of Boxing, than a fan of Boxers per se. I always keep an eye on up and coming prospects on Friday Night Fights or Shobox, that I can get behind early, if I like their skill set.
My favorite fighter today is Yuriorkis Gamboa and the rest follow. Completely feel the same about being a fan of the sport more so than just specific fighters. You think Hopkins will have trouble with Dawson in October.
You think Hopkins will have trouble with Dawson in October.
He will have some trouble (Dawson isn't a slouch) but he will win, IMO. Dawson isn't imposing enough stylistically, to push Hopkins to the brink. Too laid back, and Hopkins will find ways to steal rounds, in between all the potential dirty fighting. Best case scenario, B-Hop establishes ring generalship and makes Dawson come to him, seeing how Dawson doesn't do well when he is the one coming forward, and pulls of something similar like Tarver/Pavlik.
But we'll know about that after the first feel-out round.
1. Bernard Hopkins
2. Miguel Cotto
3. Juan Manuel Marquez
4. Chad Dawson
5. Timothy Bradley
6. Juanma Lopez
My favorite fighters.
Other fighters i like but wouldn't class as favorites: Vitali Klitschko, Wladimir Klitschko, Nonito Donaire, Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr, Sergio Martinez.
I have great respect for Floyd's skills, but I'm not a fan of his style or personality. I somehow figured you for a fan of grittier fighters...Bernard Hopkins, maybe even Sergio Martinez....
