I will speak from my perspective with my company
there are very few people who actually get paid to wear anything fight specific. One thing we don't do is pay someone to wear our gloves solely. If we pay someone it's because they are now a representative of Everlast. It's a model we have stuck to recently and we have had to say goodbye to a few guys who didn't believe in our product but we also gained some really up and coming stars in the process
we generally take care fighters if we believe they have a chance to become something special. Equipment outfits fight gloves appearances etc are par for the course if we think you rep our brand well.
I personally will help anyone who needs it and is genuine in their approach to me. I cannot count the amount of times I have helped ammys who probably won't amount to much just because I do not want to see someone's dreams dashed because they cannot afford equipment etc
nah to be a paid Everlast rep takes time. Currently we only have one paid endorser in Ward and a few guys who wear our brand proudly. Those guys we will go out of our way to make sure they know how much we appreciate their loyalty
generally no they won't ever pay for their gear and top promoters won't pay for the fight gloves we provide.
my biggest client right now is Rios and I have told him point blank he won't ever have to pay for gear ever. Same to his trainer Robert Garcia.

my selling point for the year has been our glove provided the knockdown of the year in Nonito vs Donaire and a star has been born in Brandon. People now take notice and once they know who I work for ask me to see the MX see what different outfit designs I have made for certain fighters etc.

Elvis makes custom gloves I think because a lot of his work is in house. It's harder for us to do because we have a production of gloves to keep up with inventory. That does not mean we cannot make custom gloves (Dawson and Gamboa will wear customs) but it's harder for us because we literally have to stop production or pause it to make them
