Here is my take on Jason Litzau (I know I dont know ****, the key is to admit it)

He absolutely has skills, alot of them...watching his fight prior to ESPN's PPV card you dont have to be an expert to know the kid has talent and he definately can fight(very skilled offensive fighter).

    But...

No one knows **** until you see the kid "take"...which is what we saw in his last fight...prior to that all we saw Jason do was "Give" and in my mind a fighter has to demonstrate the ability to do both (unless your Roy Jones which he is not).

Who gives a **** how good of a front runner you are I want to know what kind of closer you are, what happens when the going gets a bit tough!

In Jason's last fight we got to see him "take" and I think some red flags have been thrown up in the air...sure he came back and looked good but he was not fighting a guy that was a world beater...what if he was actually in their with a C level guy that night...would he have made it?

Point is that it is way too early too tell what Jason Litazau is(club,d,c,b,a,?)...I think he is a good fighter that will give us some entertaining fights but I dont think he is a world champ...I could easily be wrong.

Simply put it is way too early to tell which is not a bad thing...keep in mind a guy like Andre Ward has awesome skills but he is just as big of a question mark as mr. Litzau.

Everybody has there opinions I know but whoever keeps saying "Litzau will get KO'd by Corrales, and Paq need to to stop talking. This kid is 22 YEARS OLD. He is a great prospect on his way to being a contender. SO why would anybody bring those fights up now?!?

The guy has a champions heart and actually fougth better in that fight w/ Nolasco after he got KD, the taller Litzau was fighting on the inside. Reguardless YES he does net more time working on his craft but the best thing is there is plenty of time to do it, no rush. 6-7 more fight and maybe we start throwin him in the title mix.

And yes again the Iceman is right, Jason got a chance to fight on national tv, so we really shouldn't critize even if we do box. The man already has accomplished more in boxing than probably everybody else on this forum excpet for the Iceman.

I wrote a thread when I first joined u can always tell the keyboard warriors and this place is full of them.

You see no contradiction to this post and your previous one in which you stated Litzau had overated skills?

Overrated skills? Oh what have you been trying to tell everyone on this forum for a very long time?

Like I said....EVERYBODY in boxing knows Jason has the potential to be something big. He showed a lot in getting shook like that and coming back to close so strongly. YOU have to watch him when he lets his hands go in combination..he is a SHARP fighter. Big potential and could be a champion. Remember he is YOUNG and that was his first timein that type spotlight....I will tell you one thing that is UNDISPUTED FACT.... if you have never been there then you cant know and no amount of watching on TV can give you the experience to know......fighting on TV against a strong willing opponent is sometihng unlike any other experience...... the kid is a KID and wil get better and more adjusted...he is nowhere near what he wil be in a few years. Trust that. And you know...u mention Andre Ward......forget gold medals etc.... Andre Ward is a good fighter but com eon, his level of opposition is VERY WEAK for an olympic gold medalist...Jason has fought many guys way above the highest level of Wards top opponent so far.

I respect your opinion as you say, you have to have been there!

                But...

I wish you would read my posts a bit closer...When I refered to Andre Ward I said he is just as unknown as Jason Litzau which should be taken as a compliment regarding Jason.

People are overly critical of Litzau yet they have Andre Wards first three championship belts in the bank...I simply was stating that Gold medal or no medal both men are in the same boat(the medal means **** too me).

If you asked the average fan or poster or writer... Andre Ward is already a king of sorts (he is the second bout on an HBO card featuring Floyd Mayweather already) and Litzau is simply a guy who struggled to beat his last opponent on national televsion.

I dont forget things like Ward looking like Zab Judah for moments in his fight with Kenny Kost...again both men are still very much unproven/talented fighters.

Again we have years to wait before the verdict will be in on either man(unless they get exposed much sooner then expected), weather your a Litzau fan or hater you simply cant disagree with what I just said...that is unless your not to brite.( calling him a bum or a champ at this point is fun but it is baseless)

                So here goes again...

Litzau will provide entertaining fights but will not be a world champion...I could be dead wrong...this is just a meaningless opinion based upon very little.

Andre Ward will provide us with lightning hands and a glass jaw...he will not be world champ either...this is based off of very little and is just a shot in the dark opinion.

Predictions are fun and it creates interest but in the end both men are still puppies that should not be judged to harshly at this point after all they are just pups.

Who are YOU to dogg someone out that has accomplished a million times more than you have in boxing and is attempting to do something most people on the planet would NOT even have the heart to even ATTEMPT to do.

you have experience in the ring with pros? but ARE YOU a pro? there is a big difference here, you know. anyway, it is ridiculous for anybody that doesnt fight pro and fight for a living tocome on here and actually say a guy, especially Litzau , doesn't have skills. That is a ****** comment for anybody to make and only shows how much the writer DOESNT know about real boxing.
