and if floyd gets on his bike , he's gotta have to work on maximizing his punch output imo.....his usual output vs lesser fighters like baldomir ( while on his bike) will be far from enough to accomplish that..

floyd vs baldo was an ugly fight but did floyd look good fighting like that vs someone pressin the fight?...he did not , did he?...do you see anyone claiming floyd got exposed vs pressure fighters?..
When I say ugly I mean sloppy, unrefined. Floyd vs Baldomir wasn't that, you can say the fight was boring but on that night Floyd put on a clinic.

And people need to show some consistency, against Pacquiao Shane refused to fight, against Floyd he gassed out. The result in both fights was Mosley going on the back foot, trying to appeal to the sympathy of his opponent by touching their gloves.

He throws single shots so that he can hit and move out of the way of the retaliation. Most people who hit Pacquiao get caught when they look for the second shot.

If Floyd gets on his bike successfully he wouldn't have to put out a higher output as he would be in control of the distance. It would effectively cut Pacquiao's workrate. If he doesn't get on his bicycle then yes he would have to up the workrate significantly as he would get outworked.
actually ive said that in my previous post...thats the exact reason why when someone uses marquez as comparison of how floyd would do vs pac, i find it funny....marquez follows his counterpucnhes with combinations..and he counter with diffeent punches...floyd usually counters only with the starigh right and does'nt follow it up.....

floyd will not be on his bike and be succesful without putting out higher punch output, it's just not possible..that only works if he's not figting pacquaio...

I have nothing more to say to you. Again, Floyd isn't like Margarito or Clottey who's gonna stay in one close range spot, and let Manny throws his barrage of punches and allowing Manny to rotate around him like his feet are in concrete.

and the bolded, thats exactly what will happen if floyd chooses to fight in a close range....like some people claim floyd will fight vs pac...

              anyway, carry on...

Oscar de la hoya said it himself... look at mayweather's last 5 fights

                  Mosley- Shot
                  Marquez- little guy
                  Hatton- Little guy
                  Oscar- Shot

Baldomir- are you ****ing kidding me?

Ortiz is gonna be the biggest test mayweather has had in a long time, and pacquiao is 3 times what ortiz is.
You just discredited four of Pacquiao's last SIX opponents. If Shane was shot when Floyd got to him, what was he when Manny got to him? Hatton didn't grow any taller or get any bigger when he fought Manny. I'll agree on Marquez but Manny is now fighting him at the same weight Floyd PWNd him at 2 years ago. Oscar was actually fighting at his weight class, while Manny fought him at a weight he hadn't been at in years!

And that's why JMM got caught most of the times. He waited enough to had the opportunity to countered Manny, but at that instant, he got inpatient enough to put himself at risk against a much faster Boxer. Nacho Beristain recently brought this subject up about how JMM wasn't patient enough, and anyone who has watched those two fights especially the second would know that.

At the end of the day, Floyd is so much more of an accurate puncher than JMM that it won't be that much of an disadvantage if he doesn't follow up after he counter-punches Manny few times.
