Hate to say it but vic really isn't bright at all.. every time he talks it shows so clearly, and if you don't see this you probably aren't too smart yourself.

I didn't see anything in what he said which I could call "not too bright" . He was saying is how it is", and displayed commendable sincerity and empathy for others.

Those who gravitate to boxing as a way to make a living are generally not bright. Street smart maybe yes, but, otherwise no. But Ortiz, in this case showed himself a decent young man, in a situation where it wasn't neccessary to present his I.Q.

As for the German marks you mention, about that came about because of the enormous reparations Germany had to pay after WW1 as well as a completel collapse of their economy and MAINLY, that the Government began printing as much money as they needed even though they knew they had no solid economic basis for it. Yes, they eventually used wheelbarrows to bring enough Deutsche Marks to go shopping. I know this well.
