i'v always thought berto needed a new trainer. he has lots a physical ability but he cant seem to put it all together. thats when an experienced trainer comes in.
Do you think a better trainer would make Berto an unstoppable beast?

Agree wih everything until the last part. Devon's trainer (among other things) has him throw only two different punches and thinks that will win every fight. Cunningham and George Peterson are horrible trainers who have wasted their fighters potential by not stepping aside. Berto's trainer Tony Morgan is just average.Berto needs a BETTER trainer, I know him and his former trainer or close, but dude doesn't know **** about boxing really...
He needs Richardson, Roach, Jeff Mayweather, Floyd Mayweather SR, or even Steward, but he does need a new TRAINER!!
Even Devon's trainer is 10 times better than his.Last edited by Visceral; 09-05-2011, 05:36 PM.Comment

Don't know about that, Pacquiao's footwork and head-movement improved dramatically late in his career. But than again Pacquiao has shown pretty good stamina in every one of his fights even early in his career.
I think Berto's stamina is piss poor but that could have something to do with him putting all his power into every punch he throws.Comment

A better trainer wouldn't hurt at this point how much it would help is debatable as well he definetly needs some tweeks in his approach if they would stick and be of benefit or just fade away once the fight starts who knows
He really is a mini version of Pascal with worse balance and footwork only capable to fight in spurts with no inside game he is the definition of All offense No defense

he has no skill
shame on his trainer for pissing on a prospect with that kind of potential

that's because pacquiao had room to grow. early on he was just a guy with alot of raw talent, he had room to grow. its different with a guy like berto because he's had a long amateur career and he's been "taught".Comment
